Is everyone obsessed with Tesco?

(Being a cynical thing). Tesco probably have analysts that can calculate to the last tin of beans, what we are going to buy. Their computerised projections will be the ultimate in sophistication. There should be no surprises for them. So why the glitches - and why so many, all of a sudden?
I think they are deliberate. I think Tesco are doing it on purpose. Because, for each 'quick! grabbit!' post that is made here, hundreds if not thousands of MSE'ers are rushing off to Tesco to find the bargain.
MOST WILL NOT. You see yourself on here, how many people are disappointed. But what they WILL do, while they are on the premises, is buy other things.
And so Tesco wins again. They are extracting profit from even the most money conscious of us. The biter is bit!
On an associated point: You know, when I saw the posts on here from the handful of people who have managed to pick up dozens, even hundreds, of cheap cereal, pasta etc through the glitches, or through adroit use of coupons, it did occur to me to think: "Is that going too far? do these people have too much nerve?"
You know what? Try as I might, I cannot find it in myself to condemn them. I say, "good luck to you!". Because their tiny 'win' against Tesco is like a drop in the ocean of the massive profits. So keep on doing it, people! :T
love your post and totally agree, i don't buy anything from tesco's thats not a bargain, we are living on glitches, and i get all my meat from whats reduced by 70% off at about 9pm at night. We have never eaten so well lol

I remember..........when I was a lad that my mum used to send us to the Ice-age section of Tesco to buy frozen-dodo when there was Tesco mis-pricing. Even back then Tesco were up to their tricks. Ok it took 4 weeks for word to get round in those days but we used to demolish Tesco for the mis-priced articles.
I remember once buying a mammoth woolly coat. The CEL (Cave edge label) was wrong . You should have seen the trouts face when I asked for double the difference. Ah those were the days.0 -
i love tesco when they got great offers and hate them wen they a pain in the butt - i'd say love hate relationship here...SIMPLES!0

add to that all the free advertising they are getting (with practically every other thread in Grabbit mentioning Tesco in the title these days)
This sort of advertising would usually cost them dear but they are getting massive daily exposure without spending anything! Losing a few items to people because of a glitch is pretty small fry compared to the gain they make from all the free advertising.
Cold and calculated by the Tesco machine I would say and it seems to be working as we are taken in

but they don't seem to be doing that unfortunately. For example posted here today and yesterday are these that should have been in the misprices thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3500347 and https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3500021 but they've started new threads for them0 -

Not all of us are! I skim over everything that mentions Tesco in the title as I refuse to set foot in there.
I live in a small market town with a Waitrose and Co-op on the high street. The whole town is furious that the council are planning on allowing 2 of the big four chains to open on our outskirts and inevitably destroy our town centre.
A lot of people want to live a Tesco-free life! :mad:0
