  • I think a post should be made for foos item glitches/grabbits as i'm fed up of seeing '10p off a packet of crisps!' style grabbits.
Yes it is handy to know where have good deals on certain foods but it clogs the board up too much!

  • As Tesco is a multi-billion pound business, based almost COMPLETELY on manipulating food prices, overcharging for essentials, thus pulling the wool over the customer's eyes and extracting the maximum in profit - you know what occurs to me?

(Being a cynical thing). Tesco probably have analysts that can calculate to the last tin of beans, what we are going to buy. Their computerised projections will be the ultimate in sophistication. There should be no surprises for them. So why the glitches - and why so many, all of a sudden?

I think they are deliberate. I think Tesco are doing it on purpose. Because, for each 'quick! grabbit!' post that is made here, hundreds if not thousands of MSE'ers are rushing off to Tesco to find the bargain.

MOST WILL NOT. You see yourself on here, how many people are disappointed. But what they WILL do, while they are on the premises, is buy other things.

And so Tesco wins again. They are extracting profit from even the most money conscious of us. The biter is bit!

On an associated point: You know, when I saw the posts on here from the handful of people who have managed to pick up dozens, even hundreds, of cheap cereal, pasta etc through the glitches, or through adroit use of coupons, it did occur to me to think: "Is that going too far? do these people have too much nerve?"

You know what? Try as I might, I cannot find it in myself to condemn them. I say, "good luck to you!". Because their tiny 'win' against Tesco is like a drop in the ocean of the massive profits. So keep on doing it, people! :T

of course tesco know all about pricing items lower, its all just a way of getting consumers to buy up older stock which, if left in warehouses will get minimal value in auction/wholesale market.
am i bothered?????.........not really what they are doing is sending alot of people into a bit of a frenzy just to catch the deal/steal of a lifetime, and i have to say its working. people i think can suss this out, but will also be glad that they have bagged several bargains along the way wether it be for presents or profit, i myself have had a few and told people i know about them also. lots complain that tesco have the whole world in the palm of there hands, well maybe but it has been built up over many years and if others are to slow to get into different markets places such as insurance/c-cards etc etc then who is the real fool missing out on an opportunity, yes they bullskull there way there but show me a company that doesnt do a little twisting here and there, my only gripe is when they do put big tescos within small villages which no doubt affects the local economy. i lived in Oadby,Leicester and we had at one end of a 2mile long road ASDA superstore, SAINSBURYS superstore at the other end, and in the middle is WAITROSE superstore,MARKS AND SPENCER food shop, lots of little shops and.........NO TESCO they left years ago lol.......sometimes there is karma in the world :D
