Is everyone obsessed with Tesco?

I live in a small market town with a Waitrose and Co-op on the high street. The whole town is furious that the council are planning on allowing 2 of the big four chains to open on our outskirts and inevitably destroy our town centre.
A lot of people want to live a Tesco-free life!
At last, somebody of the same mind as me. I am completely adverse to Tesco, principals, etc. But everyone and this board seems to be obssessed by them.
I look at the Grabbit Section once or twice a day normally, but lately It has become 'Tesco'd' to the extent that I wonder if there are any other Supermarkets out there.
I live in a village (small town really) it has a Tesco and a Co-Op, despite the fact that I could walk to either I choose to shop out of the village and use the Co-Op for any top-up's.
I am sure that other Supermarkets offer many good deals and if I come across any I intend to post them, in the appropriate place of course.MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:0 -
Maybe you two would like to start an alternative shopping thread, but some of us are on tight budgets and as there are Tesco's in most places, most of us can take advantage of the offers and glitches available at Tesco.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

If someone moved the Groceries & food shopping board to a sub section on here, that would keep everyone happy - The grabbit bored would be much tidirer & people would still see the food bargains.Hmmmmmmm0 -
Have to agree with the OP. I remember only a couple of years ago you could spend all day finding loads of different grabbits and around christmas time you could save a lot of money, and none of them were from supermarkets.
It has been mentioned many times about separate sub categories of grabbits for food/supermarket posts and also a grabbit discussion category, until such categories appear there are going to be Tesco threads.
What really does not help when the threads are in the wrong place are the number of trolls who contribute nothing but 'where is the grabbit' posts which is counter productive as it keeps bringing the thread back to the top of the board.0 -
I must give my support to Tesco they are one of the leading blue chip companies and a unbelievable success story.Unfortunately i have not got a local tesco so i tend to use their on line shopping a lot.Being such a success story a lot of people are very jealous which shows in this forum.I personally like the quality of their products and their fantastic offers. I shall campaign to bring a store to my local town.0

I know what you mean, sometimes it feels like Tesco is taking over the world! I can't help but fall for some of their deals sometimes though...0
