I have dabbled with this cd in the past, but never kept up listening to it regularly. It always worked until I stopped listening to it. I started again two and a half weeks ago and have lost 9 lbs so am really pleased. I listen to the second part of the cd every night, it is about 20 mins. I love the sound of his voice........ It is really strange how you sit down with some food, lift the first mouthful and suddenly slow down eating it. You find yourself chewing everything much more slowly and have no problem leaving half your meal. My husband has been amazed at my smaller portion sizes and still leaving some behind. It is really good. I intend to keep on listening every single night, even took the ipod away with me for a weekend away and listened in the hotel each night before I went to sleep - how's that for dedication!0

I bought this the other day as well but have only just started listening to it and reading the book as I wanted to get exams out of the way - LOL.
First proper day in and I had breakfast - which is a first for me as I usually rush around until I'm so starving that I will grab anything and just stuff it in. OK I didn't leave any but I was hungry so had an apple afterwards as well. About an hour ago I thought i was hungry so followed the advice and had a glass of water and voila - not hungry - :rotfl:
So I'm sitting here trying to research some consumer behaviour stuff for my dissertation and at the same time trying to concentrate on whether I'm hungry or not - LOL. I don't have any cravings for particular foods anyway soi I'm not going to bother with that technique - it's usually whatever's to hand in my cupboard, but I will try the other tapping thing before I go out food shopping later.
I've kicked the scales away for the next fortnight and fingers X-ed I can actually do this. I used to be a skinny and it is true - I just used to eat when I was hungry and not worry about food at all and then I had the kids and put on some weight and went on my first ever diet - that was enough to set me off on the spiral of losing weight and gaining it until I have put on 5 stone - Aaarrrgh""" So I have just got to reset my mind and get back to eating like I used to - I already walk everywhere - cos I don't have a car but I have some old exercise cd's and I'm going to do them twice or three times a week until I can get into it again then when I'm smaller I won't be too embarrassed to go back to the gym.Noli nothis permittere te terere

I've been on the program for 3 weeks now and lost half a stone in the first fortnight. I'm being very good and not weighing myself again until next week but my clothes feel looser than they did a week ago. It has definitely changed the way that I think and feel about food. I listen to the CD every couple of evenings and quite enjoy it (is there some other subliminal programming going on? - Paul McKenna is starting to look quite attractive to me!)
So far I have found it incredibly easy and am feeling really positive about losing another couple of stones. I have just bought the 90day success journal too to help me to think about the techniques until they really become a habit!

I am convinced it is working for me. Beginning Dec...13st 10lb.
Now 11 st 10lb weighed myself this AM.
I listen to it om MP3 while walking dog...as it happens just talking to OH about how strange that it is working a bit earlier today.0 -
I bought it yesterday (£5.50 in Asda - bargain!) and have been reading through the book and will listen to the CD later. It'll be hard to slow down my eating speed to a quarter, though - I'll be sat at the table for ages!!
I really hope I won't be thinking about food all the time like when I've tried to lose weight before.
I'm not ever so overweight, but have gained 2 stone during 20 years of marriage and think I look short and dumpy these days rather than petite like I used to be!!0 -
It is really good, I hardly think about food at all now. Have definitely eaten much less than normal and have no desire for dessert, chocolate, crisps or anything else now. I am still listening to the trance part every single night before I go to sleep.0

That's fantastic :T - 1 stone per month :j
For someone who's alot heavier than you when you started that's absolutely brilliant - can you remember how much you lost each week? You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

Whilst this cd seems good for motivational work, it is a four word phrase to help you lose weight...
Eat well and exercise...
Both of these go hand in hand, without one you are wasting your time doing the other... I good brisk walk every day - preferably in the morning would suffice if going to the gym is not possible..
You need to get your heartbeat going fast, and to a point where you can still talk - but only just... Exercise in the morning is best as this uses 'old' fat / calories rather than what you have just eaten...
Good luck with the weight loss, gang... xxxHi - im a member of the Debt Help UK FORUM...0 -
I agree with eat well and exercise, but sometimes it is hard to get your mind set on this. I normally find the minute I decide to go on a diet, even if I have eaten loads of low calorie stuff I still crave all sorts of food and feel hungry. With listening to this cd, food rarely crosses my mind and I have no interest in overeating. That in itself to me is wonderful0

I caught part of one of his T.V programmes where the audience were rolling their hands back & forwards as a craving busting technique.
I have just bought the book (I really need to shift those extra 10lbs!)but there is no mention of this “rolling” method in it that I can see-lots of people on the programme said they found it more effective than the tapping technique.
Can anyone please explain how to do this?
Thanks.
GGToo much of a good thing can be wonderful!0
