I don't have children and I do think this makes a massive difference. However I dont see why age should be a factor.
Honestly I couldn't have a relationship with the girl from work you describe. I think if it dropped to less than 2 times a week and she wasn't willing to work with me on the issues I'd end the relationship before long.0 -
on special occasions!!!!!! christmas and birthdays only unless theres a special reason lol.
only joking but definatly not 7 days a week, My OH is unlucky i have a very low libido so im happy with once a weekback to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
See OH thinks he never gets it (he has ultimate high sex drive) and we get 4-6 times a week lol, more when my stepdaughter goes to her moms lol.
When shes home it all in silence and pretty ummmm yh. When she isnt here the lilttle ones are fast akip early so its more umm relaxed lol.
I lost my sex drive after getting pregnant 12 years ago and its only just coming back, saying that i was 'mad for sex' (oh's words) when we was 18-20 lmaoi miss being like that sometimes, then other times i am thankful for sleep!

Because for a lot of people their libido naturally changes perhaps, or your time is filled with more commitments, health issues get in the way, you tend to find yourself more tired...so many reasons. Probably why we're seeing such a mixed bag of answers from everyone on here.
I think you actually said in your first post btw that on a weekend when you're not doing much you do more, which is probably where the comment about when you get a life comes from.
Honest question here- how will you feel if your gf/wife/partner's libido drops suddenly for some reason (getting pregnant, life changes, whatever)? When mine is low no amount of working on it, compromise, etc works- I can't even force myself (last time I did it ended with pain for both of us)...I'd be a very lonely girl if OH booted me the first, second or third time mine dropped through the floor for months at a time.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
I think that it is important (certainly to us) to make time. We are in our very early fifties but whilst we have gone through peaks and troughs I would say 3/4 times per week has been our average over 30 years of marriage and four kids. We both work and we are tired but we do make the time and we also do weekends, even just nights away, to keep the spark going.
We are mid 50s and do the same - we go away for weekends or even overnight - a holiday in a warm place is always benefical - for me at least.
We've had our ups(?) and downs like most couples do - I think the difference is now that if one of us doesn't feel like it the other isn't sent to the naughty corner - OH was good at that when we were younger.
I remember spending a weekend in Paris and walking our legs off sightseeing - went back to the hotel after a lovely meal (a 1 star in an old town house), the bathroom was so small you had to maneuver yourself around it - I went first and went and lay down on the bed with a glass of wine watching Hill Street Blues in French while OH used the bathroom - the next thing I knew it was morning!
