Yes, it's a Tesco groceries app which you can log in to and do your shopping on. On the main menu there is a 'scan' function which you can use and it brings up the price of an item. I was just saying that although it works on general grocery items eg. tin of beans, it doesn't seem to find the items on the clip strips.

    It was free to download.
So does this app scanner give the instore prices, or a general tesco price???

I'm guessing it wouldn't scan 1p items but should work on items that have been reduced but the sel hasn't been changed.

    Hi

I use an app on my iphone called MySupermarket

I scan items and it tells me the prices of the item in Teco, Asda, Sainsbury and Ocado, so I can see at a glance who is cheapest.

However, it doesnt compare every item and instore prices are sometimes different.

It's to stop the stores using the search function on here for things mispriced in their store. Helps not to be too cryptic tho! E.g. Ch3ster and not C***er or we won't know on here where you mean.
and whats mad about reading these. If you do it slow you think Huh??? but if you read them fast they make sense right away:rotfl:

I'm not fully sure to be honest but I take it that it is the general Tesco price (like you would see when you do an online shop).

I have found a few of the 1p (Andrex on the go, Jewel air fresheners and Spontex scouters) items stated previously on this thread but when I tried the App it didn't find the items when i scanned them. I just like to try it as an extra bit of help when out looking for bargains!

The tea and bin odor things weren't recognised on the app so I would think it wouldn't work x

These are lovely, large turquiose glitter cards, the sort you'd send to family/someone special rather than one froma box.

They were in the Seasonal aisle, and labelled at £2.50 each, and scanned at 1p!! So I bought enough for next year. They were bundled in packs of 5, not sure whether this was intentional, so 1p for 5 large cards.
they also had silver ones with cut out letters on 'to the one I love' for 1p too.

    This was at Br**kl*nds store:j
    Loads left :T

1p dormen spicy peanut and glennans veg crisp at s+rrey quays extra london this morning - plenty left. Use by 14th december 2011 and june 2012 on dormen - so check carefully. Also some dormen 1p nuts on shelf with other stock.

BIG THank you to this thread. very much enjoyed self scanning check out the 1p items. And the info on DTD etc. is really useful too.
