Tesco misprices and discussion (Thread 12)

Hi, my local mr t has no scanners so I was wondering if anyone knows if the bar code scanner on the mr t phone app works to find woopsies?
I try my scanner on the Tesco app every time I go but I don't think it's that great. All the clip strip items come up as 'unable to find product' but it works on normal grocery items and often tells you the date a special offer ends if it applies, but I'm not sure how totally accurate it is to be honest.

Just back from my local Tesco Extra, and got a 1p bargain. Its a rubber dog toy, called a dental excerciser. Multi-coloured rubber objects on a short stick - no SEL scanned at 1p at checkouts. 2 different styles, both with same barcode ending in 905043. Was located at the end of the pet aisle.
Also, Barbara Daly make-up special purchase range (all in plastic bags with £3.50 price tag) located near Vivo range and not with the other BD stuff. Easy on the eye shadow pen, yellow SEL £1.12 but scanned at 56p. (These are £5.65 on the BD stand) Roll on eyeshadows, triple eyeshadows, bronzing gels etc etc all labelled and scanning at £1.12. Bargain!

I am in Oxford and I never see any OOd sel's!
The best ones to check there are the small half size yellow special offer SELs - these are often out of date, often by more than a week. Also, if you go in on Tuesday night they always prep the ends of the aisles with the next days special offers, putting up correct SELs but then putting a massive clip SEL in front of them with the next day's offer. These are great DTDs as you often get the product for free.
Hope they don't tighten up now but they always seem so short staffed there I doubt it.
