Sorry to rain on all your 1p parades but having worked in the industry for over 26 years, it would take a Tesco computer programmer maybe even just a "lowly" computer operator only a few minutes, possibly only a FEW SECONDS to produce a printout of ALL the 1p items currently available or once available, in stock and out of stock and how many have been sold today, last week or last year, without breaking sweat.

If you think they would trawl narrative lists or forums to find this information :rotfl: and don't get paranoid about all this information being in one place making it easy ....

... it already is ... it's on a computer system owned and operated by TESCO :D

Just for everyone who missed it before the link was removed, it was

Hope it helps someone find a bargain, which is basically why this thread was made. If tesco decide to view it (which I doubt very much IMHO), then hey ho, that's life.

Apologies if it offends anyone but I personally think it's quite selfish not to share this with other members when they have been kind enough to share their bargain finds with you.
Sending people on a wild goose chase isn't bargain hunting! The list is months old those are done and dusted :doh; but hey if you and others are happy to waste pertol then by all means carry on, love.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
  • Well if it's months old & out of date then that's that. But to be scared incase tesco find it & change the prices is just a bit daft. If they were going to do something like that then surely head office could issue blackberry's to all the managers (who knows, they might already) & have a member of staff watching these boards so when someone shared a find, they could instantly send an email to every single store manager to change the prices or remove the said item from sale.

Obviously back in the real world they most likely wait until savvy shoppers such as ourselves (meaning users of this thread collectively) find an error & report it for DTD at CS. CS fill in a report, this is submitted on a nightly basis & prices are changed on the system accordingly.

As a newbie I will forgive your ignorance about things you clearly know nothing about. :)

As someone who doesn't really give a damn to be honest, I couldn't really care less if you forgive me or not.

However, since your obviously a tesco 1p no it all, explain to the simpletons like me how they do it.

Got to disagree with you....do you really think that anyone in Tesco IT could get access to Tescos pricing database....Think there might be security and access limitations.Price changes will probably require several levels of authorisation before being implemented on god knows how many computer systems with a lot of this being offshored

Can you imagine all the people printing off that PDF document and running around tescos like headless chickens for glitches 1p items etc which haven't been available since *long ago in this thread* ... it's a pointless fail to me .... how I got to know all the terms, deals, glitches for tesco is TO READ THE WHOLE THREAD!!!!!!! ;);)

    A glitch is a short-lived fault in a system
