Now removed. Tesco should know what items are priced at 1p purely by looking on there computer systems. Just wanted to know if it was still being used so that people can beat mr t to the items before they are removed from display0 -

I'm really very sorry if I have caused any offence, i obviously didnt mean to.
The principle of having all the finds in one place is great, but its too easy for it to get into the "wrong" hands :-(I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Not a problem but most of these 1p items would be on this tread so easy for mr t to find them anyway. I'm sure they know what items are 1p by there computer system but purely can't be bothered to remove them0 -
i would think that they know as well, and i agree that it would seem that they cant be bothered!
Photos and partial barcodes are enough. It would be my guess that it's cheaper for T's to sell the items at a penny than pay to dispose/recycle them...begs the question why we get stopped from buying them when potentially we are helping them!!
They are setting the prices after all...we are just buying the items they are selling!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
@ queen of of cheap and rons90000
lets not fall out about it.....instead lets make up over a 1p bottle of wine:D0 -
i'm in!
I just didnt want anyone to think that I was deliberately being offensive

I suspect they not only know about them, but put them there. It all gets people through the doors, something supermarkets are happy spending a fortune doing, and these items are all bought at much lower prices than RRP.
On a side note, Re@ding Extr@ has 2 clip strips full of Dormen spicy peanuts as of a few minutes ago, barcode ending 187 expiring June 2012.
I tried pretty much every other clip strip in the store, but no sign of any other 1p items (either absent or scanning full price).0 -
Just for everyone who missed it before the link was removed, it was
http://www.pennyitems.co.uk/
Hope it helps someone find a bargain, which is basically why this thread was made. If tesco decide to view it (which I doubt very much IMHO), then hey ho, that's life.
Apologies if it offends anyone but I personally think it's quite selfish not to share this with other members when they have been kind enough to share their bargain finds with you.0
