In Bromley Tesco this morning, I noticed that the receipt didn't show the discount. I didnt get the deal as the main I chose on the shelf was not in the deal, There are 10 mains listed, only one of which was on the shelf so watch out!
When the CS tried to get the deal to show up on her terminal (using another valid main dish) she said it wasnt up yet.0 -
Hi, at Tesco in Seaton (Devon) today I purchased a dress and suit jacket under the Outfit for £20 offer (Any suit jacket plus either dress, trousers, skirt or blouse). I checked with the clothing lady that the brown range was included which was under the banner and she said yes.
At the till it was starred on my receipt (does this mean it is a promotion as the other promotional items bought were all starred?) But the discount had not gone through.
At customer services they refunded the £20 over charged and doubled the difference so essentially I got the dress and suit jacket for free.
Might be worth seeing if the tills have not been updated to match the promotion in your area.0 -
Hi everyone, well today at work my manager came in and spoke to me about her shopping trip to Tesco's Extra last night (W£st D*rringt*n). She had bought 5 x Tesco finest yoghurts which were on offer for 5 for £3. She used Till 11 (this is important!).
Anyway, her bill was about £70 which she was suprised at, it was because the yoghurts had scanned at £10 each!! The barcode had linked to boys shoes (or similar).
So she went to CS and got a refund of £47. When she told me this morning I told her she was entitled to DTD so she phoned up head office and they arranged this for her! Not bad eh!
The yoghurts scanned at normal price on the CS desk so it must be a glitch at till 11. I am going to try it this evening to see if it still working!Nov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails)

Also, check out the other Tesco threads on the gone but not forgotten board, they are a fount of good info with pics and barcodes - although as Cosmic says, you have to wade through the general chat
. If in doubt, if it's a good deal then ask at customer services for a price check, if it's a potential 1p find, take it to the self scan checkouts and if it comes up more press the remove item button and ask the SA to take it off the screen (changed my mind, it's the wrong one, hadn't realised the price etc). If you are successful with your test items, put your shopping in the car and go back and buy more if you want.
HTH, happy shopping
Oh, and the veg crisps were on clip strips towards the back of the store in pretty random aisles. they are quite a small packet (think packet of nuts size) and the SEL was 69p white foil packet with veggies on the front - there were several strips in different places. Hope you find some
Thanks. Which is your local store with a scanner? Is it 3@st Hun5bury? I know they have one. MK K1ngst0n doesn't though which is a shame for such a big store. Happy hunting!0 -
Has anyone found any bargins at the new N0rt'c0tte store, I've had no luck yet. Might do better when the instore scanners are working, I'm not to keen asking members of staff to scan items as some of them are "Tesco People" and would report any pricing mistakes.0

I wish I knew mk k1ngston had got rid of their scanner before I picked up every item on the clip strips!!!! I'll just have to go and raid the w3llingbor0ugh store instead!
I saw a Sony iPod dock station for 39.97 down from 69.97 but SEL said offer ended on 24.12.11 so I took my chances in the hope I got charged full price but no... Scanned at 39.97!!!!Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping !!0
