Tesco misprices and discussion (Thread 12)

I shop in Tescos.
I pay via a credit/debit card so never really pay attention to the price the cashier tells me, as I buy bogof and multi-buy items I total up the cost in my head as I go around.
Its only when I get home do I check the receipt and find I have been overpriced. I have several times taken the item back and been given a refund, but I never knew you could get DTD (Double The Difference).
From now on I'll be mentioning DTD to the customer service people as they don't volunteer that information.
Also why does it take them so long to change the offer price tickets. Offers tend to change each Tuesday. I was talking to one of the staff today and they said the offer price could be changed any time during the day. Why can't they have electronic price markers on the shelves, it would be so easy to change the price from a central location ie computer room, or a person could go around with a handheld scanner and scan the new price in. It takes forever for them to take out and replace the paper labels.
I only say this because I checked Tesco online before I went today and noticed that they had deals on coke, hot-dogs, deodorant etc but they the price tickets was showing the older higher price:mad:0 -
Well, my feedback I gave online to Tesco about the Pears appeared to be "fruitful" (deliberate pun intended!!)
The guy who phoned me up apologised for what had happened, and he said the DTD does apply whether it's something I've bought that I've been overcharged for, or whether it's something that appears on my receipt that I didn't buy. I was asked whether I received the DTD, and I informed him that I had only received my 37p back, and they didn't honour the DTD when pushed for it. The guy then said that he'd send a £3 gift card as a gesture of goodwill, and the comments would be passed onto the store.0 -

Hi everyone
This is my first post so please excuse any mistakes.
just joined so really not too sure how everything works. I live quite close to T*s**'s, have spent a couple of days reading everyones blogs, posts.. Went to my local one today and could not find any of these deals. Our local only reduces bread by a few pence and on the few occasions I bought, turned out to be blue molded. so not a very sucessful trip. Can anyone explain about the glitches?? Is there anyone on from Co Antrim??0 -
 Went to my Ts tonight after double checking Spontex on here following a failed attempt to get them yesterday. All set knowing which ones I was getting as I nearly got them yesterday but wasn't sure. There was over half a clip strip full...tonight....none. Gutted! I'm thinking a fellow MSEr uses the same Ts as me! No way could they all have been purchased by random customers.0
