Tesco misprices and discussion (Thread 12)

  • I had a horrible experience at my Tesco. I found the chicken and the SEL clearly stated it was half price but there were only chickens from the old stock left so they scanned at full price. I also picked up lamb shoulder which was also half price on SEL but not on the pack. I went through self-service and back to CS. I was told what I had picked up were different products (!!!???) altogether and not the ones on discount. I was so furious came home and called Tesco HO which apologised but I'm still upset. Anyway, try the lamb shoulders if you can find older ones without the red half-price label on them, maybe your CS is nicer...
Lamb shoulder: 3,99 as opposed to 7,99 per kg

That's awful, some cs make it up as they go along.

And you mentioned the lamb which I forgot - Lamb shoulder is a similar offer some joints half price some not so dtd makes them free.

I have managed to get the wine offer today. Ended up getting 24 bottles in the end.

Worked out I saved about £98 in total and was around £2.38 a bottle. Well worth stocking up.

The brown wrapping paper with coloured stripes is also back in stock in the Hull St Stephens store at 5p each. Now stocked up with 30 packs of them. Bargain! :T

Can I ask about the wrapping paper, is it Xmas paper, any chance of the barcode please?
  • Just come back from my local Tesco and had a result with the Dairy Milk Bar's at 34p each, so I took 5. I think I'm going to go back for more tomorrow because let's face it, you can never have enough chocolate.

Sadly no joy on the 'Satay Mix' or the 'Free Range Chicken' I like a challenge so I may go visit an alternative Tesco tomorrow to try my luck.
  • Hi new to this site but can some 1 please explain the dairy milk for 34p pls?

Yes the bars you need to look out for are the 120g Dairy Milk (fair trade) they have a sticker price of 94 (i think) but in some stores scan at 34p ... just grab one and use the self service to "check" then if it works fill your boots .......... you can check the barcode its the one ending 521792 hope this helps enjoy!

    Hi,

The DM bars sticker price is 34p in Hucknall Tesco not 94p,

Also in Hucknall Tesco got a DTD today on Streamline Seedless Raspberry Jam 400g, they were 3 for 2 at £1.69 each but it didn't kick in so got £3.38 back, three jars for £1.69 making them 56.3p each jar :D

Sorry for delayed reply. The paper is any occasion. Here it is.
