got my first ever 1p items - 8 bags of dormans peanuts - probably the last of them I think as i had a good root around for more
IIRC flavours at 1p where spicy nut satay & spicy peanut - the others were scanning at £1.39
loads of 34p dairy milk 120g - limited myself to 10 bars - there where a few boxes of them ready for restocking on the top shelf too - did my good deed for the day & told another shopper who was stocking up on chocolate for xmas
Im gradually learning that you have to be reasonably picky about what to look for as if you try to look for everything that people list here you can literally spend hours in the store - Im finding a lot of the time I dont find much at all & do wonder if its really worth the time spent for the actual amount saved0 -
There is an offer on at the moment, Finest corn fed chickens half price £2.29 per kilo, in some stores they have full price chickens mixed in with the half price which means that when you are overcharged on the full price ones you get double the difference back which makes them free. But some stores have removed shelf age labels and promotional material so its luck of the draw whether its available near you. Good luck.
oh silly me the other day i asked a sales assistant to reduce my pork leg as it was marked full price and they should have been half price..... no wonder she was very happy to reduce it..... next time i will just pop along to customer services0 -
Just did the wine with the Gallo Family White Zinfadel
£6.29 per bottle, bought 6 for the 25% off.
Then I entered the reciept details on mr t's price checker, can anyone confirm for me they've done this and got £17ish back? Am a bit worried that it won't you see!!
How does this work please, I must have missed it? Is the Zinfandel reduced at Asda on a single bottle.? I can only see a 3 for £10 offer.:) Or am I being thick(again)?Awaiting a new sig0 -
I believe it is the 3 for £10 = £20 for 6 at A vs. T's 6 @ 6.29 = £37.74 for 6 hence jtd of £17.74If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0

Well as far as I'm aware, you buy 6 bottles at £6.29, then the 25% gets taken off at the till.
Then you put the reciept into tesco price checker and should get £17 JTD back as 3 for 10 makes it £3.33, so effectively tesco give you the difference between £6.29 and £3.33 which amounts to a little under £18.
I'm just hoping that the price they compare is before they take the £25 off, not after!
(Hope that makes sense, i'm sure someone else will confirm that's how it works)0 -
