Got this from one of my local Tesco Extra stores on Wednesday evening.
They are going to be "like hens teeth" but you may get lucky!
Price on SEL which had a star (*) on it was £79 and I had the only one. :)

The * means end of line stock so they may have been grabbed by staff.

Finest free range chickens on offer at half price, SEL £2.29 per kilo. Old stock with use by date of 05 Dec marked and scanning at full price. CS lady tried telling me I had to buy the newer stickered stock for the offer, but I told her otherwise and ended up with 10 free birds! She then removed yellow SEL but offer runs for a few more days, so check the shelves for the older stock.

    DW :D

EDIT: just seen this already posted - sorry!
    Blessed are the vegetarians.

  • Hi,
My first posting on DTD. Went to the Coney Hatch Tesco's and bought some Krispy Kreme Donuts. The promotion was buy two dozen donuts (one dozen assorted and one dozen classic) for £13. The promotion did not kick in, so was overcharged £4.40, and DTD resulted in £8.80 refund. Works out to £8.60 for two dozen donuts. I pick my own assorted donuts using the supplied red box. Don't know if the barcodes on the box are different than the prepacked assortments.
  • Just bought Gallo Family Merlot Rose on shelf at 3 for £12 actually went through till at £3.24 each per bottle.

Couldnt find these on tesco site but exact same as these - http://www.cadburygiftsdirect.co.uk/products/825-santa-reindeer-character-bags.aspx

In big yellow display box thing stating on both front and back £1 and on both sides buy 1 get 2 free, brought 9, scanned at £3 each instead of £1 each, got £6 refunded at till, wouldnt give dtd though but i did ring up customer service and they have sent a £6 gift card out to me in post so got 9 of them for free, well even got paid £3 to take them away! £6 cash back and £6 on giftcard = £12 total.

My argument to customer service lady was why would i pay £3 for them? Id rather get the big ones for £3 (these http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=259388380) as their £3 in store!

Just wanted to thank you for this post. I bought six of these in a rush when they were on offer and when I got back to the car I noticed they weren't the bargain I was expecting and just thought I'd got mixed up and that they should have been £1 each instead of £1 for three. So your post cleared that up. I emailed CS who sent me a very nice 'we are sorry' message, asked for my address and said they would send me £5. I e-mailed back to point out DTD and said surely I should get £8? The gift card has just arrived -- for £8, the letter says! So thank you, I paid £6 and got £8 back and would not have been able to do so without the detail you gave in this post.
  • don't know if this has been mentioned before
