I found some dormen sweet cashew nuts at 41p per pack. I bought a bag of the satay mix last week and liked them so got some more today but they are now going through at 1p!! Cashier noticed and called a supervisor over. I genuinely thought they were 37p. Luckily supervisor gave me three packs and asked if she could take one to sort out the pricing. I accepted seeing as I was getting 3 packs anyway. One pack isn't a big deal.

I also noticed some rotten looking boxes on the toy shelves. It was like someone had chucked some toys found in the warehouse on the shelves. I found a lonesome Lego box in good nick and got it price checked at CS desk. 85p :T SA asked me if there were anymore as she was gonna get some. I told her there were bits and pieces scattered all over. Gosh I blah a lot! Here is the barcode and set number was 5898

No name. Has a pic of a minifigure with petrol pump and red car and a digger? above it on one face of the box and a tractor with trailer on the other face. "7ideas 3 instructions".

This may be store speciffic but hope not!!

    Ferrero Rocher 5 pack
    b/c on pack 80135906
    SEL stated 67p or 2 for £2
    Scanned at £1.29

Had got 10 for hamper packs, paid £10 for them but got DTD of £12.40 :)

Not sure if it was just an error in Connswater store only but may be mistake in labels from HO

    Here's hoping it's a central glitch ;)

You're very brave! I found an identical SEL for a small pac of Guylian seashells. Yesterday I just thought it was daft. Today I scanned them and promptly popped one into my trolley. Didn't dare buy more as thought CS would tell me that the SEL had told me quite correctly that I'd have to pay £2 for two. Got DTD back for my pac but SA removed the SEL!

On the chat thread we were laughing about these SELs. Now I realise that they may well be DTDs just waiting to happen.
  • I never seem to find any glitches just empty shelves, but I've just had a really good shop. I don't think that these have been mentioned, but apologies if they have.

Firstly I was given DTD on a Brita Filter jug . B/C 4006387032654. They come in green or pink. OOD SEL yesterday. They were showing as reduced to £13.-- (not sure of pence) from £20. So cost just over £6.

I also bought some stocking fillers. I bought a scotch tape dispenser in the shape of a black patent shoe (BC 05113144681) and a pop up note dispenser in the shape of a heart (BC 05114192832). Both were showing as £10 reduced to £5 but they went through the till at £1.20 each so quite a bargain.

    I can't believe I finally got lucky:)

I thought that too but realised that no sensible person would try to tell me that I should pay £2 for 2 when they are priced lower individually even if they scanned at the higher price.

I know a few of the SA's at Connswater and they know not to BS the customers there even if a small minority haven't learnt that yet, there are people out in the local community who wouldn't take that sort of behaviour lightly!
I know cause I used to work in the centre and my manager and supervisor always advised us to 'nod and smile' even if we knew the customer was wrong and leave the explaining to someone who was paid more than us and, more importantly, lived in another part of the country!!! :rotfl:

ps i'll have to keep an eye out for the Guylian seashells as I love those.

  • First post so go easy...

Mr T have their Fresh Free Range chickens for half price but at my local some have the full cost price on the bag and scan at full price, even though it says half price on the shelf.

CS gave DTD, so the chicken was free.

Would you mind explaining the maths please, I don't understand.

You say they scanned at £1.29 but you were charged £10 for 10? You should have paid £6.70 for 10 so overcharge of £3.70, dtd of £7.40, total spend of £2.60 for the 10 packs?

    Many thanks.

The CS girl didn't take into account the 2 for £2 deal and gave me DTD on the original price of £1.29 each.
I thinnk the fact that it was after 5pm and she was supposted to be finished had peed her off and she said she didn't care but I have had offeres not taken into account on other DTD's
