I just got 16 rolls of Classic White Andrex for £3.48 in a Tesco express. SEL said "any 4 for £3.50" but it actually should have said "any 2 for £3.50." The manager had to scan each pack but only charge me 87p per pack. 4 packs of 4 rolls, 87p per pack equals £3.48. Before getting to the till I asked another member of staff if there was any way there was a mistake on the SEL and she shrugged her shoulders and went back to doing what she was doing lol. Tesco just can't get the staff and in this instance I'm not complaining :-)
You could have been a little more savvy yourself ;)
    4 x £1.97 = £7.88
Offer price should have been £3.50
    You were overcharged £4.38
Double the diference for an overcharge = £8.76
Tesco would have paid you 88p to take them away.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Haven't been able to get any misprices or sale reductions for weeks as both checkers are broken in my local Homeplus. Would it be worth contacting Head Office to complain about them not being repaired as they've been broken for around five weeks now, do you think it would do any good? I'd say at least a third of items haven't any shelf price at all and asking a member of staff for a price is a waste of time as they just tell you to go to the customer services which takes ages. Totally fed up as I have double up coupons to use and Christmas presents to buy but feel as if I'm walking round the shop half blind!

what type of tescos was this in please? metro? express? home? extra? many thanks x

Just a general run of the mill Tesco superstore. Went in today and they had replenished the shelves with Staedtler pens but the price is still
£1. Picked up a few more packs. Haven't seen them in any other Tesco.

they were scanning through at 2 for £3.50 not 4 for £3.50 as the SELs were printed wrong so the OP should have gotten dtd which would have resulted in free loo roll - i got myself loo roll for a yr for the cost of my fuel today :j
