  • they were scanning through at 2 for £3.50 not 4 for £3.50 as the SELs were printed wrong so the OP should have gotten dtd which would have resulted in free loo roll - i got myself loo roll for a yr for the cost of my fuel today :j
Scratches head isn't that exactly what I said in my post. If he had gone down the DTD route which he didn't he would have been paid 88p to take away his free toilet paper.

new little cheap item to look out for for people with little ones

"fun to see" little jungle wall stickers sets and also stick on thermometer stickers (yellow fish picture) on clip strips in the stationery, nursery/baby & toy areas price says £2 something, but when scanned they are 65p - great stocking filler, loads of them around too... hth

    Hi Lauralou83,

I sometimes use Newmarket road Tesco very occasionally Bar Hill. I'll keep an eye out. Got some of the cheap frozen chicken recently.

I ought to join this club as Newmarket Rd is my local. Sorry to report that the fancy balloons scanned at full price there. I have a party coming up so I was rather looking forward to cheap random balloons. :D
  • i'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to asking for the DTD. Tomorrow im going to tesco so hopefully the andrex will still be doing the same thing! will have to put on a brave face and ask if they dont automatically give me it! x

Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

It is what you said, but you would be wrong anyway...

,,,, as he brought 4 then the b1get1f would have kicked in twice anyway so would only have paid £7.00 and not £7.88 as suggested in your post, therefore the overcharge would be £3.50, making the DTD £7.00 and free toilet roll rather than being paid 88p to take them away.

    Either way he mucked up!!!!

I know it's the wrong time of the year but I bought 3 T's own 250ml factor 30 kids spray type sun cream dispensers, reduced from £5 to £4 then to £2 on the the SEL. Went through the till at £1.

    Bought - to buy
    Brought - to bring
    ;)

I see now, the SEL stated 4 for £3.50 but the till said 2 for £3.50.
Yes he did rather muck up, but then if he's happy with what he got who are we to tell him otherwise.:p

  • First post for me so be nice :0)

Just wanted to share my Mr. T's bargain with you; bought this from my local Tesco a minute ago http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-2721.aspx and it came up at £12.95 instead of the reduced price of £6.50 so went to customer services and got DTD back so managed to get it for 5p - result! :0)
  • Thank you Laura.

The Bright Starts range have been particularly good recently for dtd with items scanning at full price but having a big half price sticker on.
