Thanks for the support, i think i know deep down that it is the right decision for everyone, still difficult though,
On the business side of things have checked equifax tonight, and not as bad as I thought, it turns out that as disorganised as i am i manage to pay for stuff on time 98% of the time, don't like where it tells you, that you are paying the minimum grrr trying harder now. The packing has resulted in a lot of too big clothes being found 1 dustbin bag so far, and there id definately more where that came from, and haven't even started on DS room yet. not looking forward to that to be honest,Jan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17

Morning MSE world, hope you are all going to have a great day. The sun is out, so we get summer in June and September????
First things first, today I WILL get exact balances on my cc and od, the od maybe a little harder as no online banking facilities but as I am paying a set amount off monthly I should be able to work out what is in there, or not
Today will be a NSD, have managed to walk past the cafe downstairs and am having office coffee instead, not quite the same as the hot choc but it is FREE!! Am also charging mobiles x2 (personal and work), laptop which died last night while I was wading through benbens diary but fantastic inspiration, I was well and truely into that so much so that no packing got done at all, oh well always tonight.
So to work it is, well I am here but suppose I should do something :rotfl:Jan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17

Ok so I have done it exact balances, and current payments below
Nationwide CC - 2243.69 £67 minimum
Egg CC - 5012.69 - £38.23 minimum (this is always over paid as the interest rate is 17.9%)
Barclaycard £410 - minimum £8
Virgin £374.16 - £25
Barclays OD - £1997.03 £100 per month
So its all scary stuff but....on the plus side, next month when we are back in our little house, me and ds we WILL be sub 10K. So even though it is an horrendous amount of money to owe, it is less, only just, than I thought
So the plan is
1. Virgin - the smallest so an achievabletarget for motivation, then close the account
2. Barclaycard - next smallest again a bit more motivation before we get to the big stuff!
3. Egg - well this could take some time but 3rd it will be
4. Nationwide CC - easy to chuck the extra little bits at it as it is on my online bank, I know you shouldn't bank where you have debt, but it will be gone and this I will then use to repair my credit, use and pay off in full every month
5. Barclays OD, well this goes back to my student days, and yes that wasn't recently, but never really go it sorted out after that. Have spoken to barclays, no charges / interest as long as I pay a minimum of £100 per month, I actually over pay every month as my child benefit, and my massive CSA payment of £20  as well as the £100 I transfer from my salary.
Obviously if neddy finds a nice new home, even though she is very very cheap with the quality of home and quick sale being the priority I will be able to tidy up a bit quicker. :T
So there it is in black and white, SOA will be produced when I move home, as I will have bills etc sorted then as well, but at least I know how much I oweJan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17

I always felt once i wrote it all down, it didnt feel so bad!
do you know the interest rates on all of the debt as this might make a difference to the order of which you should pay off first? Also as you only need to pay £100 towards your OD and the fact that its 0%, why pay more? (CSA £20!!!! thats bonkers!!!) the extra might be better thrown against the higher interest cards? anyway - great step forward and love the fact the boss bought the hot choci!! xDebt Free Roll of Honor #598

oooo had forgotten about this, not MSE or anything but jolly exciting. I have a company car, as it has to be less than 3 years old, never been in a position to buy one this new, and on the plus side I don't have to worry about finding the money to put fuel in the car as I have a fuel card negative the tax is higher but the amount of miles I do os obscene so in a round about sort of way I am better off.
Getting back to the exciting bit said golf is just 3 years old, had a call from the transport team and next week I will be getting a new car, go me 11 plate BMW 1 series, ok so I will still be skint and its not mine but its sort of a treat???? well thats how I am going to see it as hopefully I won't feel the need to buy anything for me as a treat for a while.
I feel like I am having a pretty good day,Jan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17
