  • Morning world, well I say that have been up for a very long time, actually in the office now and the first time I have had to think about anything.

Debt Free - not sure I have anything left that is worth ebaying, comes from selling loads before to payback debt, about 15k so far obviously not all on fleabay but it would have been nice if it was, but I will keep my eyes peeled.

Today i have resisted the temptation to have hot chocolate from the cafe downstairs, no doubt they will be wondering where I am :rotfl:I have a nice 140 mile round trip to do for work in a while, fortunately I have a petrol card, so no spending and claiming back.

Apart from that I can't really see myself achieving anything today, but tomorrow is another day.

    Have a nice day people,

Good luck with the neddy, been through something similar myself. As other peeps have suggested can you try a loan home and then when things are easier he/she can come back. I know the horse market is pretty dire especially as its coming towards winter. Good luck with the viewing.

  • Not sure if I missed it, but what income are you actually working with?

  • Well done for resisting the temptation of the hot chocolate :)

It really is the little changes that help make the big changes.

Also huge well done for clearing as much as you have done previously. It's a long hard slog isn't it, but it will be worth it.

Just wanted to wish you luck and say what a brave decision it is to sell your horse, I hope you find a really good home for her.

As for your ex..£5 a week? pfft. :mad:You are better off sorting things without him for now. If at some point in the future he ever wakes up and realises just how much money it costs to raise a child then anything he contributes would be 'extra' to your budget.

Thanks for popping onto my diary. Glad that my musings help in some small way. I hope that the viewing goes well but maybe broach the subject of a loan too. It is amazing how people might go for that (less cost for them as they just pay for the upkeep and insurance etc and keeps the door open for you longer term)your DS may be interested longer term and it might be a bit of an incentive to keep going when the times get tough. We all need something to aim for. I know how hard it is to make the decision to find a new home for a pet. I had to do that when my first marriage broke up. I fought tooth and nail to keep my dogs when my second hubby walked out on me because I knew how they would keep me going longer term but I do understand that it isnt always possible.

I second what Louise says, right now you need your strength to focus elsewhere rather than battling somebody who already knows how to dodge the bullets. His time will come. ;)

Just wanted to wish you good luck on your journey. Tough decision with regards to your horse - but I would prioritise yourself and DS... Hope that you manage to get back into your own home again soon. Well done on decluttering as you go - it is a never-ending task tho. Hopefully when you do move back home again it will feel lighter as there won't be as much physical baggage
