    Hi all

How does time manage to pass by so quickly??
Just thought i would update as things have been progressing for me and at the moment i have very little to do other than read!

So, I didnt find anything that would be suitable for me part time. But on the plus side, my operation was bought forward and i went in for surgery last weekend! A full 3 months earlier than i expected so well done to the NHS!! :) Im very pleased!

So im out of hospital now and have been ordered to relax and do nothing at all that could damage me. That in itself is pretty difficult as being as stubborn as i am, ive never been one for sitting around and doing nothing! But i have been banned for even picking up the hoover so poor OH is being given orders left right and centre! LOL

Im still doing well on the OP for the mortgage - managing around £170 a month where i can. Id like to do more but thats about all i can do at the moment, especially with my new years resolution this year for the holidays!

Ive booked to go to Greece on Tuesday for some R&R since OH is having to go abroad and work so he wont be here to help look after me. Luckily mum is free so she is coming to Greece with me and my surgeon and doctor have given me the OK to travel! Hooray!!!! :)

Ive finally managed to get through the majority of all my shampoo and shower gel although there is still 5 years worth of conditioner in my cupboards!!

One positive thing with being off work - its meant that i can truly go through how much everything costs as i have the time :) OH is loving it as he is treating me as his own personal database of how much everything costs and as such i am feeling like i have a fulltime job just being at home! LOL

    Well, will update further later

Morning fellow MFW's! Gorgeous morning isnt it?!

Ive been busy reading everyones diaries again and catching up with what everyone on here is doing regarding their MFW journeys. In light of seeing some that round their bank balances down with an OP, i have made a 83p OP to the mortgage yesterday and a 90p OP today :)

Im sure there will be someone at the Skipton wondering what on earth i am doing! LOL

Ive been taking the opportunity to clear the house out of all unwanted crap, as for some reason (i suspect my OH is strongly responsible for this!!) we seem to have an almighty amount of things that have no home! argh!! its driving me mad!!

The last month or so has seen a lot of ebaying and gumtreeing which has been really successful so all of the money from that has gone into our joint account as spending money for Florida in November. Its amazing how it adds up, especially since our joint account is currently funded solely by quidco and ebay! £500 so far and counting :) YAY!!

Im feeling a bit like ive been hit by a train today but ive been told to keep mobile so i think im going to get outside in the sunshine and have a little walk in a little while. Since my op ive been sleeping so heavily that i can hardly remember my OH leaving for work in the morning! But then again, my body did always like to sleep when it needs to recover... 11 hours last night!

Just a quick update today. I was planning on having a NSD but what actually happened was i had a VHSD! (very high spend day!) OOPS!

Still, I have now paid for my new kitchen doors and worktops so soon my kitchen will look lovely rather than horrendous!

90p OP to the mortgage pot today and £27.25 from Quidco to the Savings pot :)

Hi Lisalou, greece for recovery sounds like a very good idea. Just remember to take things easily, you only get one chance to recover so do it properly. You are tired because you are still healing internally, so give your body what it needs.

And well done on the small op. I have given up worrying what the building society think! They are petty enough to add a couple pounds daily interest every day after all.
    mortgage 1 33,000. paid nov 2012 :D. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

    Hi Kirsty :)

Thank you! Yes im just finishing packing and hoping to have a very relaxing week away!! Just checked the weather forecast and its 30C in Zante this week :)

27p OP today to round up my bank account! :) I had a very busy weekend. OH's house is getting new tenants. Its all been a bit of a rush as the tenants that were due to move in pulled out at the last min and these new people only applied on Friday! They didnt want all of the furniture (house is Fully Furnished) so Saturday morning 10am, a van was hired, we drove over to the house, removed 2 sofas and 2 beds (well the boys did - i supervised! lol) and shoved the lot on gumtree and facebook. 24 hours later, all had been sold and delivered and cash received so although we were planning on putting the cash towards the mortgage, it actually turned out that both of us ended up buying a few new holiday clothes that were desperately needed!!

OH has already left to go to the airport as he is working in Texas for 10 days. Im missing him already :(

It was my first time there and i can see why people go back!! Its a lovely place :)

Today is a LSD for me - my hair is in desperate need of doing so instead of going to the hairdressers and paying my usual £80 for a colour, im getting my hairdresser aunties to do it instead for free :)

....wouldnt trust them to cut it though! So £28 to the hairdresser for that next week! LOL
