Bumpmakesfour I'm convinced it's just men, whether I clean this house from top to bottom and have it sparkly clean, or leave things lying all over the place, he is the same. The other night eating Frosties, and spilled some on the floor, WHICH he was aware of, rather than cleaning them up before putting the milk in the bowl, just carried on then later crunched them all into the floor by walking on them! I couldn't even do anything about it at the time as I was doing my nails! I also don't understand why when asked to do something they can't just do it, it's always "I will" "in a minute" and it takes HOURS. I feel your pain. The frontier is never somewhere else. I'm convinced my baby hasn't slept for almost 24 hours, been active almost constantly, including every time I woke up last night! Either that or he/she is an active sleeper :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I actually had a fab nights sleep last night
I hadn't slept well all week but last night I went to bed at 10.30 and almost straight to sleep. Woke up twice in the night for the loo but straight back to sleep. Woke up at 8.00 to breakfast in bed, came on here, back to sleep until 12.30 when my mam rung me!!! Must have needed it!
Feeling quite energetic today, have been cleaning the kitchen and bathroom to within an inch of their lives and was contemplating hoovering the stairs but I know I will get shouted at off my oh and my mam if I do that so think I will leave that. Have also been dancing round the living room with the dog to the chart show so she is all giddy now
Going to put the border up in the nursery now and move the cot bed in there (it isn't built yet and boxes aren't heavy) so there is room in the back bedroom and then I am going to blitz that. Sheets off our bed are in the washer and have 2 loads ready to wash when they are finished. Also have some washing on the maiden which should be dry now so will put that away too.
Also plan to repack my hospital bag as I just have one huge case at the moment but the midwife suggested at our classes that we have 2 bags, 1 for on the labour ward and 1 for the postnatal ward so am going to rearrange them this evening before watching x factor with a ginormous bar of chocolate and a brewMammy to 2 boys aged 5 and 20 -
DH is working late tonight, and has ordered me to do nothing more than watch tv or use the laptop.
Thing is- I'm bored! It hurts to do much, and my back is pinging as well, so I'm lying here contemplating making popcorn. The rain's annoying, I could have been out fixing my car lights, and it needs a service- I could have done that too!
Instead, I have two damp mafogglies lying in the corner wagging big damp tails all over everything- but the doggie grins are so infectious, there's no way I can throw them out to bed!0 -
My OH is working late too Lirin! Supposed to be early, went into work and they'd changed his shift, despite him being off all week and not having seen the rota?
I've cleaned the bathroom, kitchen and living room from top to bottom. Got a pile of ironing sitting but I'm not doing it. I made flapjacks earlier, going to coat them half in chocolate and then it's catching up on Glee, DCI Banks, Blue Bloods, Vampire Diaries AND X Factor.
I don't even feel guilty. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
