Lisa- I am working from home today, and have something to finish off, that usually wouldn't take that much, but today I think it will take all day, as I am really struggling to stay awake!

Ok, so I know that when you get to this stage, the baby has less room to move but I keep making myself panic quietly by thinking the baby's not moving enough... I've hardly felt it at all today, just the occasional nudge, nothing like as much as usual... But then I'll feel something and panic slightly less... But then it still doesn't feel like its moving *enough*, IYKWIM? Do I ring the midwife, or wait and monitor it and mention it at my appointment tomorrow? All I want is a good five minutes of wriggling and I'll be happy! Instead of sitting here worrying about it...

My penultimate day of work today- and 39weeks today! Like many of you, am absolutely knackered today. Got up v early to sort out the rubbish out before the bin men came- DH can do the carrying, but always forgets to put it all out and we had LOADS from our big cull at the weekend. Was struggling to keep my eyes open, so went up for a nap at quarter past 10ish- just woke up now! Was hoping to get DH to take us to Frankie and Bennys for their 2 for £10 breakfast which is on till 12, but he has been on the phone for work solidly since 8am. Thought he would be off the call that started at 9, when i woke up and came down, but still going strong, so no F&B for me today! Grrrr.

Oh dear. been there, done that panic. Still doing it too (plus the converse that she is beating my insides up too much)! The time that i called the m/w i was given the following advise:
Have something proper to eat, and a very cold drink, and then go and lie down on your left side for an hour. You should notice a pick up in movements.

Erm ... woke up frisky and tried to make use of it. But was dry as a bone. Completely dry. Whats happened? Is this normal in pregnancy?

Have also noticed this too. I mentioned to midwife on tuesday that although I have still had movements it seemed less compared to maybe the week before. She said there is just a bit less room and that was probably why, she did put it into my notes. But then yesterday I felt the baby all day long. I guess it just feels like if you feel it that much 1 day why havent you felt it as much the next? MW also said some days they have rests like we do. SO so hard to know whats right and whats not.

Been shopping to Asda at 815 this morning, got home sat down for a bit then went to get the Veg from Morissons. Am absolutely knackered now and the pain in the top of my right leg is agony. Think thats me done for today.

Good luck to all those with signs of things happening!

PG=Big fluctuations in hormones= changes in CM. Today it might be none at all, tomorrow might be a flood! Its great this PG lark.

with my son, I had reduced movements once (end result was that he'd turned breech and they weren't as obvious) and called triage as my notes said to do. Their advice is always to first:

    1. drink a big glass of something really cold
    2. lie down for an hour, preferably on your left side, somewhere quiet - don't watch tv (distracting) or fall asleep (tricky!) and count any movements, even little ones you feel.
    3. Call them back and report the number of movements

I got taken in anyway and strapped up to a monitor. They'd always rather you call them than sit at home worrying. I'd probably try the above then call if you're still not happy.
