If you or anyone knows - how did you find out about being Strep B? Didnt think it was a regular test that is done unless you send off for a kit yourself and pay for it? I also really want the water birth so understand how you would feel not being able to do it.

Hopefully Jenjade may be having cuddles with baby by now or if not at least on the way.

Ooh, exciting that there may be some babies on the way - good luck! We definitely need some boldies to get their little ones even if it means I end up further up the list!

Spent last night up and down to the toilet and in between dreaming about needing to do the rest of baby's washing! Sorted out a load of stuff yesterday so that we have clothes, nappies & bedding etc all in the right places, but wore myself out in the process.

Every time I think DH knows what is going on, he surprises me again. I had to explain last night how the placenta works, where it is and where it comes from... Apparently he passed O level Human Biology. May have been a while ago but it didn't even seem as though I was reminding him of stuff, more telling him things he had never heard before. Perhaps time to get him an idiot's guide to pregnancy for christmas :rotfl:

38+3 - not long now. Better get on with that washing!

Sorry to disappoint. Trust me I am so disappointed but nothing happened. Baby is still on the inside.nothing happened after the show ;-( I want her out before christmas so badly ;-(

I had not very nice moning so far. Woke at 4am with the horrendous headache, tried to drink a pint of water, and after a while and second pillow, managed to fall asleep again, to awke up for the loo in about an hour and a half, of course. Back to sleep, sort of, woke up about half an hour alter with OH, and had to rush to the bathroom with the nose bleed. Took nearly an hour to stop it completely. Tried to have some breakfast, and decided I don't like sweets today. Checked my blood pressure, and it is even more down - around 95/55 (took a few readings over half an hour whilst sitting on the sofa). I am out of breath just by sitting at my desk, my head is pounding. My goal today - to drink at least 4 pints of water on top of all tea and watermelon that is winking at me every time I go to the kitchen (I think that is my craving...)

Then was putting the washing on, and my breakfast nearly came back the way it went down. And went to pick up the washing liquid, just to find out that there is a small leak from the water meter fitting, but can't find the right key to tighten the nut!!!!! So, it is going to stay leaking....

Last push for the year - last working day. Also, need to make sure everything is washed and ready for our flight tomorrow. The flight is in the afternoon, but I told OH we are not cooking lunch at home, and going to have something out in town or on the way - don't want any washing up tomorrow to do just before we have to leave. The house is like a bomb site, and it is going to stay like this for when we are away - no energy to tidy up and clean up. Will have to do when we are back, as the following weekend OH's friends with a small child are coming to stay. So, will need to rewash the guestroom bedlinen and towels, and make sure the child's room is free from anything he might hurt himself. But that is for next year.

Sorry the sweep hasnt kicked everything off yet Jen! I feel for you. On the upside, 4/5 engaged and 3cm dilated is a good sign that it wont be long!!
You have my sympathies tho', as i've had a few promising signs, and then they've not preogressed. Just got up to answer the door to the postman, and i swear, it felt like bean was going to fall out as i walked! I'm very curious to see if the consultant checks my progress tomorrow dilation wise. It really feels like she is pushing down, and i'm getting all kinds of pressure, and butting on my cervix, and sharp pains.

I was getting a slight pink discharge. Rang the day assesment unit and they wanted to check me over,so did a swab and it was a couple of days later I was told. I know its routinely tested for in the US but not here for some reason.

Thanks Kira!! Yeah, tell me about it!! I was one of the lucky ones to concieve quickly but my it has gone quick.... can't wait for my easter baby!!
