I dont know hun, i used the couch when my little ones were small, i couldnt justify the expense of a changing table or the thingy that goes over the cot.0

Does anyone have or know anything about those pieces of board to go across the top of the cot for nappy changing? i have back problems already and thing getting down on the floor to change nappies will be a nightmare for a while after i have the baby.
does anyone know if they are one size fits all?
I don't know but how about just getting a cheap changing mat and changing baby on that on the bed? You could put a towel over for comfort?Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Congratulations Pigpen
I believe she was due the week after me so is about 4 weeks early
Little Angel - I'm not sure what to suggest other than maybe drink as much water as you can to flush your system, if you can keep it down anyway. I'm surprised the midwives can't give you any anti-sickness, but maybe give your doctors a call? If you explain you're hoping for a home birth they might pop out and give you a jab to help with it. Hope you get something sorted!
I've only got one pack of size one nappies, have bought two boxes of size two and three boxes of size three, but then I'm expecting this one to be a whopper and size two start at 7lbs I think and I think I'll be very lucky if this baby is less than 7lbs! He measured 5lbs at my 33 week growth scan so I reckon he'll be at least 7lbs by now (37 weeks).
Great to hear from you JCR - glad Reuben is settling in well
I have read back but I'm so tired I can bearly remember my own name so I'm off to bed xx0 -
Couple of stupid questions for those who've had babies relatively recently... firstly, are button front PJs/nighties more of a convenience than an absolute must for the hospital bag (planning to breastfeed), and would 3 sizes bigger than my pre-pregnancy size be ok for post birth, or too big/small? I can't remember how much you shrink straight after!
Just dug through the back of the wardrobe and found a respectable looking pair of PJs I forgot I owned, am wondering if they might save me buying any that I'll never use again!
See I'm wondering this. I will be in hospital for a few days at least regardeless of method of delivery. I have looked online but there is nothing much nice. Matalan have leggings with theirs and the tops have slogans I'm not a fan of. M&S and next have very little. Should I just get some from Primark in a bigger size? Button ones are better I guess?Does anyone have or know anything about those pieces of board to go across the top of the cot for nappy changing? i have back problems already and thing getting down on the floor to change nappies will be a nightmare for a while after i have the baby.
does anyone know if they are one size fits all?
I looked at these but in the end we have bought a lovely second hand changing table with a bath for £25. This will stay downstairs and is on wheels so it is easily moved around.
Upstairs I have an ikea changing table thing that was given to me and is brand new. I have one up and one down because OH has a bad back and I don't want any excuses for not being able to change bump. Also If I have a c/s I thought running up and down stairs might not be good. Sorry I have no experience of the cot top changers. Mothercare have a large range though but possibly more pricy than kiddicare.
Congratulations to pigpen. Will keep my eye out for updates.
Right all showered ready for x-factor, tea and biccy's. I had hoped for a relaxing afternoon but instead I defrosted the freexer (well it defrosted itself and the fridge and leaked all through to the dining room carpet) then I had to do 4 bowls of washing up as the dishwasher broke when it was fully stacked. I do hate washing up. I still have 2 bowls soaking ready to be washed up. Still I had a nice morning but my braxton hicks make wandering round a fair thing very uncomfortable.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend0
