I should have logged on and kept you company as I didn't sleep a wink!! Was it your SPD? I just couldn't get comfy and then rolling over was a joke. I feel your pain sweetie xx
funnily enough I was wondering if you'd got any sleep following your slip yesterday! But yeah it was all spd but by far the worst it's been so far with shooting pains down both legs and like a band of fire around my hips/pelvis. Had to lie in bed because I couldn't get myself up and DH wasn't waking up for all the tea in china... Not that getting up would hAve helped coz there is no way I'm going to get down the stairs!
Come on baby, be born!!!0 -
Congrats to all those who have given birth - there have been loads in real life round here this week too - it would appear the Christmas spirit did get everyone in the mood 9 months ago!
We still haven't bought ANYTHING for bubba's arrival. We move into our new place mid-Oct so until then I'm just trying to get a list together so that I can go wild in the aisles straight after. Now, I'm confused about whether I need a moses basket, crib and cot and I'm hoping you girls can clarify.
A friend of mine puts her little boy in the moses basket all day in the lounge when he's sleeping and not being cuddled/fed/changed, so it seems they are getting good use of it, for now at least (though I know babies grow out of them quite fast). Where would you put the baby during the day when you're up and about (ie in the lounge or wherever) if you didn't have a moses basket?
Do you need a crib if you've got a moses basket? Surely bubba could have night-time sleeps in that too or are they not roomy enough?
What's the difference between a crib and a cot? I've seen those 3-sided cribs and quite like the look of those, but wondering if that actually just means I'm setting myself up to need a moses basket, that crib and then another cot later?
Expect more of these kinds of questions from me, I'm feeling totally clueless at the mo!
Thanks girls, BMxx

blue monkey I'm just going to use a Moses basket until he's ready to go in a cot. They aren't heavy so can be carried downstairs for the daytime but if needs be I have a carrycot with my pram which he could go in and I also have one of those bouncy chair things. Wouldn't have thought you'll need a crib and a Moses basket because they are the same sort of thing really. I guess it depends on how much space you have and whether u want to move things during the day.0
