Urghh.. What a night. Pain pain pain pain pain. Combined with stuffed up nose, and snoring DH. = Getting up at 5am to come and sit on the sofa instead. Now in pain and knackered. Grizzle, Grizzle, Moan.

All i want to do today, is sleep, eat things i ought not (milkman has delivered a box of toffifee) and spend money i dont have on things i dont need. Amazon prime- A blessing and a curse.


Gilly, OMG, What a comedy of errors! I'm still loving our M&P Sola, but from the service youve had so far, SOOOOOO glad we got it all 2nd hand from various sellers on Ebay, and the car seat/bases from Amazon! Fingers crossed they decide to do something suitable to apologise.

Icey, your chiropractor sounds ace. If i knew how long i had left, i might be tempted to see if i could get someone to look at me, the pain is soo bad. But at gone 38 weeks, it seems too late to start treatment now.

Oh, can i ask your opinion pls ladies? I've bought a new hardback book for DH, "The new father, a dads guide to the first year", which got brill reviews. It arrived today. I'm torn, should i just give it to him now, or should i wrap it and give it to him as an extra Xmas pressie? Chances are Beanie wont be here before xmas now i reckon.

Just back from Tescos,man what an ordeal that was. :eek: Bought lots of things for hospital bag,nipple cream,infacol,vaseline,maternity pads etc,plus these huggies sheets which you can use to change nappy either wet them or use dry. Better than cotton wool as it doesnt break up. reduced to £1 a pack. A cute outfit reduced to £4 and a little pink/purple reversable jacket reduced to £4:T

Just a quick update, baby Benjamin born on 13th at 2342 hours weighing in at 8lbs 9ozs. born after emergency c section due to failure to progress.

induction started off fine on the monday afternoon, was 1 - 2 cm that evening and was 4cm when checked tuesday morning. so put on hormone drip to speed things up and contractions started working which is good pain was bad though as he was back to back so got an epidural which was a god send.

checked repeatedly through the day and still no progress so consultant decided at back of 10 that night that im going in for a section. he did offer to let me continue trying naturally but with 12 hours of no progress he didnt think i would deliver naturally. so hormone drip turned off and contractions stopped :mad:

the midwives were great when i was in labour but after i had Ben and had been xfered to a delivery ward they were useless. I struggled to get him to latch on and was made to feel a pest asking for things, ended up coming home on thursday night after having a meltdown due to various issues (failure to give painkillers, refusal to provide formula as he wouldnt feed for more than 5 mins at a time, help buzzer ignored for long periods of time, Ben being jaundiced and not having being checked over to see if it was an issue etc) so it took me asking the head midwife and laying out the issues and that got things moving and the docs agreed i could go home that night.

Ben is doing well and still having issues with latching on so we have made the decision to top up with formula for now until my milk comes in. have managed to express 2ozs this pm so that will be his next bottle feed later this pm.

Oooh i always forget i used a TENS with DD2!! It worked really well got to hospital and was fully dilated and wasnt screaming my head off so musta helped somewhat haha! Labour was too intense too quick to use one with DD3, altho i didnt have gas and air until i REALLY needed it with her. I demanded to have it in the room next to me, but didnt use it just wanted security lol.
Pains in my hips and pelvis were so bad last night, had stabbing pains down below for the first time too DH been away since Wed, back 2moro so its been hard suddenly having to do EVERYTHING! Glad school is finished for a few weeks now, when they go back i`ll only have 8 weeks til the due date!
Congrats Seafarers wife, sorry the ward staff werent much help I cant understand why they wont give formula if you ask for it now? They did 4 yrs ago when i had DD3!!
Eeek, this time next week it`ll be all systems go, ready for the big day hahah!!! xxx
