  • Gilly I also had trouble with M&P a while ago.....nothing in the same price range but I will telly uo about it anyway as it may be helpful. When there was the £10 off hipp voucher I tried to use it online and it wouldnt work....it was also a 10% off everything weekend. (Only trying to order a £30 cuddledry apron towel - would have worked out to £17 with discounts) I sent about 6 emails to them trying to get a response with no reply whatsoever. I ended up complaining on their FB page saying I tried to order something with a discount card and on a 10% day and nobody had replied to several of my emails. They soon answered quick enough then. I was given a new email address to write to which I did. They assured me it would be ordered and in my local store for collection within 10 days......

Anyway 2 weeks pass and I hear nothing...so I ring them - bearing in mind you get charged for phoning their CS. They told me that they were having trouble getting hold of the stock - I did mention the fact that it was still showing as available on their website?! I was told I would get a phone call back when it was available. Anyway another 2 weeks pass and still nothing....I went back onto FB an complained again as my emails were not getting replies again. Seemed to do the trick again as they then answered my last email.....my item would be in store in 3 days time (which it was). I politely told them I would not be using them ever again due to the hassle of ordering 1 simple item....they then sent me a £10 gift card....which I used on the item when I collected it in store - so came to a total of £7 for a £30 Item.....just hoping this saving/compensation you could use to work out how much they should give to you. Sorry for such a long winded post!

Thanks so much for this, well they've sent me £30 gift card, which I'm not really happy with to be honest. I've a letter waiting to be mailed, but I'm waiting until Monday to send it recorded as I don't want the old "it got lost in the mail" excuse. The way I was spoken to today by a member of their staff was ridiculous and my OH is fuming.

In the letter I've stressed how much trauma and stress that is putting on a heavily pregnant woman etc :D so we'l see what they say to that.

I also said that £30 really isn't enough compensation for all the aggro and loss of earnings as we've had to wait in on 4 separate days for deliveries.
