Ladies is there anything I can take for wind specifically that really works/is really strong. Rennie/Gaviscon, lemon, mints, chamomille tea, sleeping sitting up, i've tried the ruddy lot. But the wind is sooo bad it makes me feel violently sick. I was sat here at 2am with a bowl in bed convinced I was going to be and absolutely sausage all was going to bring up any burps!I really desperately need something to relieve/stop this. I just can't eat. Anything just turns into gas its nothing specific. But I cannot carry on like this. I can't even leave the house for long before I feel so ill. I am so never getting pregnant again. That's for sure I just can't function. I'm convinced now this isnt real morning sickneess I have but something else.

Oh luv, you are having a rough time. :hugs:

Have you tried peppermint tea? It seems to help me with wind problems.
Charcoal tablets are great for wind, but there is mixed info about whether they are safe during pregnancy (most say fine, others say ask your GP/pharmacist) . You could speak to your GP and ask if he/she thinks they are OK.

See if you can get JL Braggs ( you can get them on amazon). Those ones specifically say they are PG safe. Otherwise have a chat with the pharmacist. I guess maybe they all have different stuff in them, and whilst you are desparate, surely not worth risking taking something that is definatley bad for the bean.

  • I was looking into baby baths yesterday trying to decide which one to get....my Husband wants to get one of these http://www.mothercare.com/dp/B000IVSQZ2?ref=sr_11_1 and after looking at the reviews it sounds great and I bought it! Just looks a bit cruel to me for some reason....bathing a baby in a bucket lol - Great for wind/colic apparantly

Morning, i decided to go back to sleep this morning again after my son had left for pre-school-making the most of a couple hours rest.....however i was woken up to find the community midwife at my door (oops). I hate answering the door in my pj's so felt a bit embarassed, and i hadn't tidied up yet as i thought she was coming tomorrow! Oh well, my blood pressure is remaining stable and baby seems to be doing well (although still not engaged-but i have been told this may not happen till late this time around).

I am hoping baby comes before my appointment at the hospital on the 20th (day before due date)-don't really want to be induced but i also like the idea of hopefully being home for xmas day then.

I'm feeling really scared now.....only a week to go. Very excited of course, but scared too!

    keely.

Lisa - another hairy bear over here! hubby has commented too, I have pcos which means its doubly worse, I wish I was blond..............:o

Ro, I consider myself to be very lucky as I have very dark hair but my body hair is very light, it'd be much worse if it was dark so I feel for you. I have a friend who has PCOS and suffers with lots of excess hair which is very dark so I know from her how distressing it can be.

And I thought I was cruel just buying a nice new washing up bowl. ;) I did get a decent sized one with no sharp edges. :D

Could be worse, I was enjoying a nice bit of duvet time on the sofa while waiting for my Special Delivery, leapt up thinking, damn, post is early today, rushed to the door.... Jehovahs Witness! :D I'm trying to politely decline her leaflet while hiding my PJs behind the door curtain. :D
