On the subject of yesterdays baby kicking/movements, i'm 31wks on Saturday, and I still hardly feel him. Only really when I lie down. Don't know if that's just because my placenta is anterior high? Or maybe he's just a lazy baby? Who knows......DFD February 2012

On the subject of OH's sleep and your own, you will both adjust. Your body will cope with what sleep it can get and you just need to catch up when and where you can. Airline pilots and doctors have babies too without the need to have to move bedrooms, lol. I'm sure it will work itself out
Would agree 100% with this. Off the top of my head I can think of 2 examples of folks who have had to get on with it.
When I was younger my Dad worked 2 jobs, one full time day time and one part time night time, so twice a week he'd come home from work, have 3/4 hours kip then go to his night time driving job, work til 6am, come home, shower and go to his day time driving job 8-6. Didn't have much choice really had to keep a roof over our heads.
The other my close friend has not long had a baby, she's on her own, and was back at uni and work when he was 6 weeks old. That I admire!
My OH is used to 9 hours sleep a night too, but I've informed him, new born babies parents get no where near that :rotfl: don't think he quite believes me... Hmmm
Mozzy Could be the way he's lying, when mines was lying right on my side the movements I felt were very very faint. A friend of a friend had a baby recently and she said she felt him move less than 10 times her whole pregnancy. So I wouldn't worry too much as movements are personal and you know your baby.xx

Would assume so? They can't have everything in the shop, in stock, my Mothercare has about 15 prams out on display, I doubt they have them all in stock through the back. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I wonder if the suggestion of you moving to the spare room on Friday and Saturday nights will be met with the same welcome that he hoped his suggestion would be?Little Person Number 4 Due March 2012

I have this!!! I struggled to feel baby move up until 34 weeks as she was whacking the placenta instead of me.
If you lie on your back, with your legs on your head board and relax for a bit and put your hand on your tummy you MIGHT just feel a little flutter
@ 36 + 2 days I now regulary feel her
(But maybe yours is just lazy . . . lol) xx
My last "Full" day at work today - have half a day tomorrow then DONE!! We are all going to the local pub tomorrow for a Xmas meal (Usually we all fly to Germany but as im not allowed to fly - obviously - they are holding a little meal here) it's a "joint" one though - xmas meal / my leaving meal and its also a colleagues birthday. I brought the biggest chocolate cake i could find in today to surprise him (I always bring a cake in for someone's birthday) They were all quite sad when they realised no one would bother until im back lol In all honesty i've marked when their birthdays are in my diary and will send something in - not a cake but some sweets or something?) and hopefully they will still share them lol0 -
Right, if OH told he is moving into spare room, he would get an earful. Yes, he needs to work during the day, but so do I - would need the rest to be able to care for the little one(s), and to produce milk to feed them!
I am working from home today and feeling so much better. Haven't progressed far with work, but getting sorted - I am sure I will do all I intended today before I am off for my acupuncture and Boots shopping. I have sorted a few bits this morning (Council tax paid, window cleaner paid, flight tickets for Christmas bought, home insurance sorted).
I am most proud of the savings on home insurance. We have been with Directline for a few years, and they seem to be sending renewal quote plucked out from the tree. Last year we managed to get them to match the online price. This year, they sent a quote for £640!!!! Did the quote online, the normal one came up at £315, the home plus at £378. Called the call centre, and the best they could do was £544! When I asked why online is so much cheaper, they said that I cut out the middle man by going online. I asked do they count themselves as the middle man and take £200+ for the privilege! Asked the policy not to be renewed and got the higher one (hope plus) online, so that will include travel insurance and home emergency cover as well. I have saved £266 and got a better cover!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
