Holey Moley! Just had the prospectus and fees through from the nursery we were planning to try for for bean when i go back. I knew it was pricey, but its even worse than i thought! £258 per week for a 4 day week

Even DH was shocked. He suggested a nanny would be cheaper. I laughed. Really, he has no idea. I think if we decided to have another baby at some point, that a nanny becomes more cost efficient, but round here, nannies have to be given so many extras (cars, mobiles, gym memberships etc) its ridiculous!

Our nursery is £1280 per month, 5 days a week. And that's the cheapest I've found around here! I'm just grateful its such a lovely nursery!

  • Urgh been up a few times for loo then at 3am DD decided she would wake up and is refusing to go back to sleep easily. Have resorted to threats about Santa watching ..... can't even have a drink because of my meds. Grrr do not need this!

Me too Mimi, I seem to need the loo loads in the middle of the night recently :o I've been awake since 3 and lay in bed hoping to drop off to sleep, but no joy.

Thanks guys. He drives alot and that's his excuse - that he doesn't want an accident. But I think he thinks i've got it easier staying at home all day with the baby, when I know that's not true!!

As someone who drives, I would be happier knowing your husband is getting plenty of sleep before going out on the road, and you are probably less at risk of causing a major road traffic accident due to lack of sleep. I think your OH is being very sensible and responsible. Personally I worry about my OH driving 5 miles to work when he has had a poor night sleep due to me getting up and down all night, as it only takes one moments lack of concentration.

I have a really odd question. Has anyone else seen changes to their belly buttons? Mines changed to an outie, and it's really freaking me out now..

I think most women find their belly button turns out, mine is just verging on it now and I'm hoping it doesn't pop out before next week :o

I've got another busy day today, the carpet cleaner man is coming to steam clean my upstairs carpets this morning, so I will have to clean the kitchen while he is here (since I didn't do it yesterday). I never feel comfortable lazing about when we have people in doing jobs, so I guess it is good motivation. Then I am going to the pictures with 2 of my nieces to see Arthur Christmas :D

I am currently debating whether to apply for job share at work so I need to have a gander at the Entitled to website to work out what we would get in tax credits to see if it would be financially viable. My difficulty is that I will be working shifts when I go back so childcare needs will be inconsistent.

Morning all, another one awake here... I've been awake since 5am with heartburn, thanks to the tasty Domino's pizza I had last night. And seeing as my alarm is going to go off in half an hour there doesn't seem much point in trying to get back to sleep now...

Would have been worth it for a dominos though. Yummy.

Thanks WW - I might just say to him the days he does have to go to sites, to sleep in the spare room, but when he just going to the office, to maybe help out those nights.

That is a good idea. My hubby has a dangerous job and he also needs a good nights sleep. Most nights tho he doesn't go to bed til about midnight/1am if he s watching a film,I go to bed about 10. Hubby will feed baby if I'm bottle feeding/expressing then I'll take over once he's in bed. We did this with my son and it worked well.
