I would be upset too Mozzy, my OH started sleeping on the bedroom floor to give me more space but I didn't like that! However I can understand where he is coming from. It's ok to be tired and lacking sleep when you haven't got work the next day, and he is probably imagining the worst. You might find that once baby arrives it isn't as bad as he thinks it will be and there is no need to sleep in another room.
I dare say that there may be the occasional night where my OH will sleep on the sofa. There is nowt worse than a sleep deprived grumpy fella :eek:0 -
Also is it just me or does anyone elses stomach feel bruised from there baby trying to do moves that aren't possible. I've felt like mines is about to recreate the scene from Alien all day and I'm feeling tender, I wish he'd stop it
.... mines just kicked off literally I am being pummelled  the word thumper springs to mind...0 -
Quick question - DH has just informed me that once baby is born, besides a Fri and Sat night, he plans on sleeping in the spare room. He said he needs his sleep as he's working. This has really annoyed me, but just need to know whether I'm over exaggerating. Is this what generally happens? I certainly didn't have this in mind!
Well, if he thinks that means he doesnt have to do any evening/night feeds or changes during the week then yes, i would be p*ssed off too, but i do think that a few nights per week in the spare room isn't a bad plan if he is working.
I got this today,
http://www.newdadssurvivalguide.com/?WT.ac=lhn_favourites_ndsg and had a read, and there is some helpful common sense stuff in there. Including bits on how to make sure you both get enough sleep. Maybe have a read, and see what you think, and if there are some things you think might work, and then get him to have a read and then try and arrange a compromise you can both live with. Like maybe, he does the 11pm/midnight feed, so you can go to bed early and have a solid rest till the next one, and then he can go to sleep in the spare room after that?Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hugs Mozzy I really wouldn't like that, Fair enough he has work the next day but there is no need to sleep in a different room. I would talk to him about it i would feel really rejected:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

.... mine its spare room if its going tits up and he cant function or off to mums as they commute together anyway (he is expecting to be short staffed so is panicking a bit). But its not going to be regular I hope....
Think yours is fearing armageddon (sp) and thinks he will be safe in the spare room, he will calm down and get used to it. Think unless he really needs his sleep then he should be with you and move only if unbearable etc
Besides unless he has ear plugs being in the spare room may not be any good anyway...

I guess it also depends what your OH does Mozzy, for example those people who work in air traffic towers need to be on the ball 24/7 and cannot cope with the lack of sleep as peoples lives depend on them being alert, same with doctors etc.
I think once in a while if he is really feeling tired then as a one off it's okay, but not 5 nights a week! You both made the baby, so it's a joint responsibility. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly. The colours on the Mylo are Black Jack and Lime Jelly. I love it, it's so cool
Well. Tonight I'm sat in my sleepsuit watching CSI and eating celebrations. Perfect way to spend an evening.
Rebekah. It really does get better soon hun. I had really terrible sickness and a total loss of appetite at the start of this pregnancy. I found that sipping water every so often stopped me actually being sick, and the best thing to eat was toast little and often. I took Sanatogen Mum to Be vitamins every day and extra folic acid to make sure I kept healthy. Now I'm 32 weeks and my appetite has come back with a vengeance, so I promise you it gets easier. Aw that's lovely, I loved the Lime Jelly, But we couldn't have the lime without having the welly green  and it is vile. Girl in the shop said they used to do every combination, like you could chose base, hood etc but then they stopped doing it for some reason.
Ours is all black jack, we did order the dove grey and cream one but changed our mind not long after because I want to hopefully use it again and the cream wouldn't have stayed clean I don't thinkThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks guys. He drives alot and that's his excuse - that he doesn't want an accident. But I think he thinks i've got it easier staying at home all day with the baby, when I know that's not true!!
I'll have to have a word with him. He reckons this is what most men do. Well, none that I know sleep in a separate room not helping during the night.
I'll have a read of that, thanks Kira

I have a really odd question. Has anyone else seen changes to their belly buttons? Mines changed to an outie, and it's really freaking me out now..0
