Food wise, work will have to wait, if you put off eating, you will feel terrible. Make sure you always have an emergency snack in your bag- i'm still carrying cereal bags and little packs of dried fruit everywhere. Total saviour on several occasions when i've been stuck in meetings, on the road etc.
Make sure you get the light fixed. Flicking lights are horrible for headaches and sickness even when you arent pregnant! Ring maintenance and tell them you are pregnant and cant work till its done, or you will be sick on the desk!!
Oh, I have snacks, but that is not enough. I have dried fruits with me, I munched through a banana whilst he was on the phone with someone else, and I keep eating something every couple of hours. The only things with carrying stuff - I already have backpack with the laptop and papers, and another bag/portfolio-type full of stuff as well, so I can barely fit anything else. That is why I decided to get out during lunch today instead of taking a third bag!
I have reported the light the first day we moved into this office (5 weeks ago!), then again last week. I was promised the new fitting has been ordered, will believe it when I see it. Thankfully I am working from home for the rest of the week (due to different appointments), so fingers crossed it will be fixed by next week.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Yes, he does - he knew for a while since I was about 5 weeks, and he knows about the twins. However, the way he is behaving is as if he is trying to get rid of me. The things is - I might blow up in front of him one day, I have been very contained for the last 3.5 years, but I am pregnant and my patience is running low. He recalled me from the piece of work I loved, and keeps changing my project every week or so.
(The photo was from before pregnancy, it was a 6am flight offshore, and I was busy making notes of things!!!!!! He can't expect me jumping around in front of the client!)
He really should know better and be treating you better, especially because of the pregnancy.
I honestly think the whole not knowing how it's to be done, until you've done it wrong is a man thing, very annoying! It's easier said than done to try and just keep your head down, but you have your babies to concentrate on and they need a happy and unstressed mummy. xxxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
If you really think he might be trying to get rid of you, then you should just stay calm, and not let him rile you. Also, make a careful note of all the events that happen, so you have a record should you need it. As you know, they cant discriminate against due to pregnancy, and MUST make reasonable adjustments. It is not reasonable for them to stop you having lunch..
Oh, he won't get rid of me before I leave - they are just interviewing someone today to join the team (I only learned from another colleague this morning, our team is 6 people, 1 is leaving, 2 are away, so shows how good at communicating my boss really is). Besides, I have to do all his dirty jobs, so if I am gone, he might struggle.
Next week I am going to go back to HR about my risk assessment - still haven't heard anything.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Thank you
Just started being able to enjoy it over the last few weeks as the feeling sick has gone. Loving feeling baby move around, such an amazing feeling! We have our 20 week scan a week on Thursday and can not wait. Cant believe that will be the last time we get to see him/her till April though. How are you finding it? Is this your first? It is ours. I feel like I have so much to learn, not to mention so much to sort out!
Yeah I can lose hours sat on the sofa staring at my bump squirm around, we think it's hilarious! I balanced the tv remote on it the other day, Pip nearly kicked it clean off!
This is our first, yes. I have had (so far, touch wood etc etc) a very easy pregnancy so far, no sickness, no aches or pains. I've been very lucky!
My 20 week scan seems ages ago now, it was at the beginning of September and I'm now 32 weeks! So the time will fly by, trust me! I think we've got everything we need now, well, most bits. I still need to get a few little bits and bobs but baby now has a place to sleep, some clothes, and a car seat and pram/pushchair so the big bits are done!Bleurgh my Virgin engineer still isn't here, I want to nap, but know if I do he'l turn up more than likely
Lirin, it wasn't Dobbies out at Lisburn? Heard there Christmas stuff is amazing, we were planning on going out sometime soon.
On another note my awesome best friend has just informed me she's ordered us a bouncy chair and it should be arriving some time this week, it's so cute, well from what I can see on the website. I'll try find a picture
Edit: Pic
Love the bouncer chair Gilly, that's sooo cute! I love zebras...

I just need to say thank you to all of you for support. I am trying my best to stay calm, and usually have a rather 'thick skin with scales', from the school times (limited number of girls in a selected grammar sort of school), but this pregnancy is melting it all off. Depending what time I get home, I might actually take a bath, even though I am not so keep on it usually (haven't had one for well over a year - I am shower person)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Well not had internet for a while and just not had chance to reply and read through. Looks like there have been a few births since I last read, congrats Missy, Janni and Neas. Penny and I are now joint second under the boldies, where has my 9 months gone. How exciting though, can't wait now although I'm not fed up of being PG yet (other than the lack of sleep).
I'll try and have a read through later and see how everyone is. Take care ladies.0 -

You are welcome sweetie. We are all here for support. Pregnancy might be an amazing and happy thing, but it is darn tough too! Its all easier said than done, but when things get hard, just remember the prize, the lovely babies at the end. Nothing else is as important.
Enjoy the bath. I'm a hardcore shower girl too!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Has your Virgin man turned up yet?
I really really love it, I don't think I would have picked it myself, but it's so cute. I keep saying to OH "we need to buy neutral things just in case the next ones a girl" and he called me obsessed last night with a girl, but I don't mean it like that! But I'd hate to have to go buy loads of new stuff again! Zebras are cute
NO! They said between 12-4 so he has just over an hour or I'm going for a nap, really need to nip to the supermarket for a few bits but I can't really be bothered and if I send OH, we'l have loads of sweets and crisps but no food. The frontier is never somewhere else. Argh, just been all around town and cant find a single "dressy" top to wear for a surprise party on Fri night
Meh, i`ll just go in my pjs and tell them i thought it was fancy dress :P
Its pouring down here, typical, right on school run time! On the plus side, i only have 11 more morning school runs to do b4 the xmas hols, yay!!! xx
I bought this from Next to go with something for our work christmas party http://www.next.co.uk/g853254s2#440495g85, its not maternity but has loads of room and is very flattering. Was going to see if I could fins a silver/sparkly vest to go underneath it0 -
Ginvzt - perhaps a hormonal explosion is required and then a tearful visit to HR?
I have a director in our swiss office that always put me down personally on emails that copied to other senior staff and then would send really rude replies to my emails which asked polite straight forward questions that I needed to do the work for his office.
After one a few months ago (first trimester and hugely hormonal) I was sitting on my own blubbing when my manager came in a wanted to know what was the problem. I told him it didn't matter and I was just being hormonal but he made me send on the email to him and I think he must have said something as this director has been much more polite since - not nice but polite.
Saying that, I don't want him to be nice as then I would have to be nice back and I can deal with being blandly polite with him. Should be fun at the christmas party - either he'll ignore me as he did last time he was in the office or he'll make some comment about me being pregnant which will be a red rag. Ho hum!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0
