Ginvzt - perhaps a hormonal explosion is required and then a tearful visit to HR?

I have a director in our swiss office that always put me down personally on emails that copied to other senior staff and then would send really rude replies to my emails which asked polite straight forward questions that I needed to do the work for his office.

After one a few months ago (first trimester and hugely hormonal) I was sitting on my own blubbing when my manager came in a wanted to know what was the problem. I told him it didn't matter and I was just being hormonal but he made me send on the email to him and I think he must have said something as this director has been much more polite since - not nice but polite.

Saying that, I don't want him to be nice as then I would have to be nice back and I can deal with being blandly polite with him. Should be fun at the christmas party - either he'll ignore me as he did last time he was in the office or he'll make some comment about me being pregnant which will be a red rag. Ho hum!

Oh Icey, some blokes are just useless! There is a guy i have to deal with alot, not in our company but a co-stakeholder with what we do. He is CONSTANTLY saying stupid things like " Oh Kira000, i think you have done very well at the meeting today, given the circumstances" What circumstances would those, be??? OH!! You mean because i am PREGNANT!! or "Aren't you doing well to manage, i can understand why you didn't contribute much today"..... errr.. could that be because i didn't have much to add??

Thing is, he is just trying to be nice, and ends up being a kn*b instead, so i'm having to make allowances for him instead;)

My HR is about 160 miles away (fun for working for the 'big' company, or the one that thinks it is big), so I am not visiting them. From email contact they are just as useful as the bicycle to the fish!

I will be fine. I will calm down. I will be strong and stop crying. All I want is some time off to rest and get some sleep. It doesn't help that I have to get up at 5.30 am when coming to the office and don't get home much before 6pm.

They are interviewing someone today. I asked my boss if he already did the interview, and when he answered yes, I asked if he thought the guy was any good. His reply was we'll see.... I asked for his bl**dy opinion, not if he was going to hire him!!!!

You don't have to be strong and not cry, on the contrary, its not good to try and bottle it all up inside. You'll end up even more stressed out, which is no good for you or your babies! You are pregnant, you are hormonal, its normal, so just cry if you feel like it. Its the best excuse you'll ever get! :rotfl:

Oh, I don't need an excuse - I am a woman, and blonde - what is a better excuse than that?

Missy - thanks for the review on the Medela pump. I really hope to breastfeed (express if I have to, but I want to give the best to the babies). I resisted buying the breast pump in Amazon sale last week, but come new year, I will be on the lookout for the best deals.

Female, blonde.. Hmmmm sounds familiar. But hey, i'm happy to tap into the pregnant excuse as well. It is also the best excuse i'll ever have for eating Hagen Daaz for dinner. :D

  • Any of you ladies who need new clothes, the blooming marvellous range at Mothercare is half price now. They had some lovely dresses but I bought a pair of skinny jeans. They're under the bump but the over bump band on them is so comfy, and it doesnt roll down like my New Look ones do. Well worth the money.

Mine also had nursing pj's and nighties half price, so ready to pack my bag now :)

Gilly. You can have maxi cosi cabriofix on the Mylo using the new Aton adaptor, or so we've been told by mamas and papas staff this morning.
I like the Aton anyway so if we find it wont fit we'll take back the cabriofix. Xxx
