    Morning everyone :D

Really is cold this morning, my wee hands are freezing typing this, had to have the heating on first thing as soon as I got up. Gonna have a longgg roasty toasty shower (well as long as I can stand it) soon.

Starting to get a bit worked up about things we still need and money situation :( I've not bought any Christmas presents yet, and got loads of stuff to buy for hospital/baby bag etc and I have no idea where the money is coming from. We're due a lot of money at the start of January but I'm panicking that's too late, I suppose I can always online shop and just opt for next day delivery :o

  • Lisa - thank you so much for that info. I'd always been told to avoid them :(

So tired today. The bucket loads of energy I had last week has finally run out. Booo. Xxx

    Morning all.

Neas- congrats to you and your wife on Jacob, very nice news and an exciting time for you both.

Ro- Hope your friends mum pulls through, operations can be difficult to recover from, but somehow takes longer in the colder weather.

Today is the day DH bet I'd go into labour. I don't think it'll happen! I don't have any signs of labour yet. Sore back and pelvis are SPD pain, I think, I have no bowling ball feeling between my legs, no real problems walking- nothing! It's still 10 days until my due date though.

DH left early for work. It's just taken me an hour to have a shower and get dressed. Didn't realise just how much I relied on DH to help me- lifting my legs to get in and out of the shower was painful! Putting on my bra was almost comical...... :)

On the bra talk, I think mines are getting too small, because my boobs are escaping in the middle of the night and leaking milk everywhere. Just had to strip my bed for the 3rd time in a week!

On another note, although Missy said she didn't like them I'm finding Tesco's own branded Breast Pads the best, out of all brands I've tried (Tommee Tippee, Johnsons, Boots) They really stick to your bra and do not move about like the others do, the sticky strip is very good. They're really quite thick though, compared to the other brands.

  • I can't believe I'm not leaking milk yet! Last time I was a Soggy Sally, this time I have had a drop of orange stuff 6-8wks ago & thats all!
Should I do something to encourage it?!

Oh MSM, if I knew for definite my milk would come in I'd happily skip this soggy phase. It's been going on since 16 weeks and is getting worse and worse. :o

Just to give you a laugh, I'm so dim that until I read your post, whenever anyone said about the sticky bits on breast pads I had it in my head that you must stick them to you boobs not your bra....!!!

Oooh you can buy a brand that stick onto your boobs, not sure how good they'd be though. Can't quite think of the name now. Not sure I'd like to be taking them off though, the plasters you get with blood samples are sore enough to take off.

I'm due a day after you and I've not started either so dont worry - Also - Dont compare this pregnancy to your last one, each baby is different so of course the pregnancies will differ :D usually the "white" milk comes within 72 hours of baby being born so relax! x

Can one of you lovely ladies "check" my bags - I think i've forgot something . . . .

    ME:

    Dressing Gown
    Slippers
    Bed Socks
    Briefs
    Sponge
Toileteries - Tooth brush, tooth paste, face wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, cocoa butter, deodarant
    Mat Pads
    Breast Pads
    Towel
    PJ for on the ward

To be included (Not yet packs but have) :

    Nightie for birth
    Make up
    Hair brush
    Money
possibly hair straighteners (Im vain, i dont care lol)

    for baby:

0-3 month snow suit (Dec baby remember!)
    Cotton Wool
New born nappies (Tried terries last time - not for me!)
    Towel
    4 socks
    2 scratch mitts
2 Tiny baby vests (Just in case! - She's still measuring small)
    2 Tiny baby sleepsuits
3 "Newborn" Vests (in case of growth spurt!)
    3 "Newborn" sleepsuits
    2 hats for ward
1 hat and gloves for on the way home
2 jumpers (in case ward is freezing!)

I'm not sure whether to put a blanket in - I vcant remember if i did this with DD!

    Doesnt seem "enough" . . . . .

Breast feeding bras are on their way (Nowhere in town had a 38E!!!!) and I'm going to take in a pair of Jeans and top for ward (Dont like wearing PJ's if i can help it!) but these will be in a carrier bag (So I can use carrier bag to put in my birthing clothes!)

I'm not taking a camera in . . . . I dont think . . . Dont really fancy having my pic took during the "PUSHHHHH" bit or straight after and mum can bring it onto ward when she visits . . Worried about it being tea leafed!

Car seat is already in the car

OOO - Anyone who has "normal discharge" but is getting irratated by "normal" panty liners/pads - try Dr Whites sanitary pads (in boots) They dont have the "sticky" bit (There's an old fashioned "belt" with them lol) but i had to have these last time and they fit nicely (and stay in place!) without the belt but are quite thick (HTH someone - sorry for TMI lol)

I'm due on the 8th Dec, and I've had no leaking yet.

I'm also wondering which will happen first- popping out baby, or popping out of bra.... I can't justify a new bra at such a late stage!
