I think I don't get up as much in the night because I tend to drink most of my fluid intake during the day at work. There's always someone going for a drink, and I always have a decaff coffee and a glass of water on the go at the same time. Then when I get home I normally only have one large-ish glass of water with dinner then nothing else. So I reckon I get at least 2 litres of water during the day. Most nights I might get up once to go to the toilet, somewhere between 2am and 4am but last night I didn't. I woke briefly at 2.30am and turned over, then again at about 5am as the over-the-road neighbour leaves the house at that point (and always sits revving his engine for about ten minutes before he drives off...) but I didn't get up... Although I was fairly desperate by the time I got up at 6.30am and went to the loo!
So long story short, I think that cutting out liquids in the evening should definitely help
Oh and to make sure I get my eight glasses of water a day I have a little pile of eight paperclips next to my computer screen... Every time I finish a glass of water I move one paperclip across into a new pile. I try and get all the paperclips across to the new pile before I go home. Maybe try something like every time you go into the kitchen, you have a glass of water, or something...?:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Well we bought a jug thing to sit in the door of the fridge, and I always have it filled with sugar free squash. So it encourages me every time I open the fridge (which is a lot, considering nothing changes, I open it expecting something tasty to have appeared) to get a drink, so I maybe have 4 or 5 pints of that a day, and then maybe 3 or 4 large cups of decaf tea. Then over and above, milk most nights with dinner. So it takes me well over the 2 litres, just will have to condense the time I drink it over. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Eyelinerprincess Here's hoping, do you think you'l definitely get induced then? Or maybe baby will make an appearance before then?
Getting taken in tomorrow afternoon at 2 to get started! Though had some stabbing in my cervix last night which is apparently it dilating, so hoping I'm a couple more cm gone than I was on Tues (1cm then)."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Next have some nice tops/dresses online? Can order to store then return there and then if they're no good.
Or wait til just after Christmas? Just as an idea- there's a huge Next Clearance around the corner from me. Used to work there, and the stock tends to arrive fairly fast.
V sore now, can't sit or stand for more than a few minutes at a time.0 -
TMI
Pains - up until 18 weeks I had a lot of stomach pains, sciatica pains and round ligament pains. At around 16 weeks I started getting pains in my coxics, sacriatic bone area, very very top of my thigh muscle and the boner part of my bum. I still get the occasional sciatica pain but that is not constant like the other set. The psyhio advised doing more pelvic floor exercises combined with pelvic tilts while trying to suck in my belly button (this is hard) my DH massages/pokes my back and thighs nightly while I'm on my hands and knees which helps a little. I sleep with pillows between my legs which had become more beneficial than hassle. I get a bad pain when turning over in bed without curling into a ball before turning. The banasters on the bed help me move more quickly as I occasionally get stuckI can only walk short distances before the shuffling begins, then I have to have a rest day while the pain subsides. The physio has warned about I over doing it to avoid permanent problems. Hope that helps. Im thinking of trying a chiropracter next. I'm in awe of the people who have managed to work like this!
Morning sickness - I still have this, eating regularly and drinking lots of water helps me loads, vomiting water is much better than yellow bile, trying to drink water helps me stop the sickness. I have water bottles next to all the toilets and sinks. Before 20 weeks, ginger biscuits, lemon juice, toast and marmite helped before getting out of bed. I took my vitamins at my best time (5pm) to try and make sure I got something healthy. Sweets helped a little and also chewing the food much more thoroughly. Sickness is more manageable now it has reduced for about 20 times to 5 times a day.
Loo/water - I'm going at 11.30, 3.30 and around 8am, this is much better than it was in the first trimester since I've taking to sipping from the water bottle rather than the pint glasses I used to take up with me. I try to sip only from around 10 pm, but I go through at least 3 litres a day even while on evening rashers.
Acid reflux - for me I get it with excessive wheat or potatoes, one or two things are fine, but three or four are bad. Combining wheat and potatoes is much worse. Anything more than mash and gravey and that is too much. A Yorkshire pudding with this requires gavascon before and after. Spicy food seems ok, I've gone of tomatoes a little, but chocolate makes me sick.
Lovely bump pictures!
Kira - hope your mum is recovering well!
Sorry about the spellings as I'm on my phone!:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Alright, I'm off to make soup. Started listing what was in the freezer for if I'm kept in tomorrow night, think he got a bit annoyed as he told me he was perfectly capable of phoning for a pizza. *rolleyes*
Anyone seen the panda peeing on its cage-mate's face? Might be my sense of humour but it was the funniest thing I've seen in ages!
