Gilly, No matter which way I lay, sat or tried to sleep, it never seemed to affect any need to pee. Always seemed to need to go! Didn't seem to matter if I tried limiting liquids close to bed either- that made it worse for me as I'd wake up thirsty and with a headache. Hope you find a way that works for you, it's just trial and error I guess!

I'm 38 weeks today, and not that I'm counting,it's 352 hours until the end of day of my due date. It's weird, but 352 hours seems much less than 14 days, and both are scary low numbers!

Plus, everyone's started texting and calling now to see if Hitch has been born....

I do get heartburn Jen, but sounds like you're really suffering from it. :(

I'm almost completely avoiding fizzy drinks and stuff like that now. Milk, water, or diluting juice. I'm also not very hungry..... I keep getting cravings for cream- pavlova, sticky buns, cake, anything! But as soon as it's in the house, i seem to lose interest.....

Well at least I am on topic been awake since 2.30 with acid traveling up and down !!!! Gross. Now decided to cut my loses and get up at 4.40 am!! Today is going to be a long day! I also have periord type pains ;-( why!

I've also been having periodish pains, in the end I decided it was my pelvis complaining, as the head is back downwards again... or at least was on monday. I feel 'full', like there's no room left in there and I can't do anything without being poked by elbows and knees. :D

Lirin, I'm the same, no fizz, no juice, nothing made of tomatoes... tried chicken soup last night and that was no good. There is basically nothing left I can eat without feeling rubbish. So I don't particularly want dinner, but I could eat cakes and other rubbish endlessly if I let myself. It's like, if I'll feel ill, it may as well be for something good. :D

And also weeing once an hour all night till 4 or 5am. Every time, I spend ages first trying not to wake up. Then when I try to sleep, my legs are aching and I can't nod off again.

i am eating hardly anything! food just makes me feel sick ;-( no tomatoes, onions, cheese it all makes me feel yuck

last night i had chicken with mash and carrots... is that to blame for me being up most the night?

Cereal did the same the other night surely cereal can't make my acid reflux worse????

It got so bad I was actually thinking, "how bad can wearing a nappy actually be?"

I've thought that too, but I think I wouldn't be able to let myself. I had surgery a few years ago and had to wee in one of those cardboard bed pans in hospital, whilst lying down in bed. It took super human psychological strength to allow myself to wee lying down in bed even though I was desperate :rotfl:

I think peeing lots would be much better than getting acid all night though.

I've got to agree, I've only had a little bit of acid reflux thankfully, so I'll cope with the nocturnal loo trips.

    jenjade - that looks good!!!!

Can I ask you advise ladies? Those who had 'luck' to enjoy SPD - when did it start and how? When I saw the midwife at booking in appointment, she said that my pains could be the start of SPD, but then told me to talk to my midwife when I see her (don't ask). I have a pain that started in my bottom (left side) a couple of weeks ago, getting to lower back pain, and difficult to stand-up from the seat. Then One night I got some shooting pains (not very strong) in my 'lower regions', tried sleeping with the towel under my waist, pillow between knees, no help. Then tonight, I had more pains down there when turning over in bed, that for me whilst half a sleep at night felt like pulling or shooting muscle, but not sure. Today's walk to the office proved to be the most painful yet, with the pain slowly getting the the top of my inner thigh as well. I am not seeing midwife any time soon (well, she didn't give me an appointment and just told I'll get an appointment with the consultant by post for about 16 weeks).

I was going to try and see GP and see if I can get any help with this...
