  • Hopefully that will be the case. It would be nice.

I hope you get some decent sleep soon Gilly :)

Watching Frozen Planet, loved the Polar Bear that gave birth without waking up, I'd love a birth like that.

Oh I've tried to watch Frozen Planet but all the animals eating each other put me off. I was in tears last time :o May have to watch this episode now, it'l be online/on catch up soon enough I guess.

that's me just got around to eating my apple pie. I'll miss the days of eating cake in bed, so lucky I'm taking advantage of it while I can :D

  • Kira I'm so pleased your mums op went well. It sounds like she made the best choice in terms of reconstruction. Who is caring for her dog while she recuperates?

Gilly I have been having nocturnal wee problems for months so I'd say you are bang on schedule. It never really bothered me earlier as
I was up anyway with back and hip pain. Now that my back has started to ease I feel like I'm almost incontinent :o

OH has spent much of the day fixing a leaky pipe and putting new lagging on tanks and pipes in the loft. We moved in almost a year ago and the lack of insulation in the loft is shocking. We have 2 lofts and he has sorted one out already and is trying to get the other sorted for Winter. He has worked none stop today, only to come down stairs to the washer leaking  So he has a leaky wife, leaky pipe in the loft and a leaky washer - poor bloke!

Oh, and has anyone else started snoring? I am not usually a snorer, but I am now according to OH, even when I am lying on my side. He says he can hear me when he is downstairs watching TV and I am in bed :eek::eek: And he keeps waking me in the middle of the night to stop me snoring. If he can hear me downstairs, I must sound like and airplane engine when he is lying next to me

Oh I love it, but I'm exactly the same. I walk away when something is about to be eaten. But in the last episode, they were showing these baby birds flying for the first time. And I was watching this one cute one, it flew into the ground, got back up to waddle to the water and WHAM!!! A fox snatched it. I was horrified! There was no warning for me to leave the room!

Okay well I won't be watching it now! The seal with the whales got me last time, he/she survived for so long and kept getting away, and I thought its luck was in, but then nope :( Why is it all the cute animals get eaten, but horrible big brutes don't?!?

One thing I found intriguing was the wolves, tracking down the one bison, that was fascinating.

Wonder Womble It got so bad I was actually thinking, "how bad can wearing a nappy actually be?" :o I was in tears last night, because I was so frustrated with waking up. If I can get to sleep fairly fast, it doesn't seem to bother me as much as even when I wake up for the toilet I can get straight back to sleep, but if I'm having trouble sleeping then it's terrible.

Glad everything went as well as it could with your mum Kira. Hope she recovers quickly. Sounds like you made the right choice, as difficult as it may be!

Talking about being an irritable pregnant woman - I came home tonight, OH was out seeing a mate. I didn't feel like cooking just for me but also, once I'd got in and sat down, I couldn't be bothered to walk to the chip shop (literally just around the corner...) so I sat sulking for a bit trying to decide what to have for dinner. I ended up putting a jacket potato in the oven, came back an hour later, turned oven off, beans in microwave etc, then when I cut into the potato it wasn't fully cooked. Seeing as I'd already turned the oven off (gas oven, tricky to light) I was already getting annoyed... Potato then went into microwave for five mins but still wasn't fully cooked so in a bit of a strop it got thrown in the bin... So I have had no dinner. OH came home and offered to get me something from the chip shop but I was sulking and said I wasn't hungry. Luckily I have now snapped out of it as I am sure he must have thought he'd come home to a petulant teenager... Am off to have a bowl of cereal and head to bed!

Unless there's any apple pie left Gilly...? :D

  • I didn't think this weeks was as bad as other weeks with things being eaten.

I didn't like the one with the baby penguins when the hawks snatched them though :(
  • HI GILLY
  • I'm almost afraid to say for fear of annoying a group of pregnant ladies, but I rarely have to get up for a wee in the night. During the day I drink ridiculous amounts and am up to the loo at least every hour, but at night it just doesn't seem to be much of an issue. I have a pint of water with me and usually drink it all, and wake up a good few times in the night, but just don't have the need to wee each time. It's not all plain sailing though, have got my sciatic nerve hip pain back again in bed, so turning over is a struggle. Trying to make the most of the bed to myself before OH moves in next week, along with his snoring!

All this talk of baby animals being slaughtered is making me sad, my hormones are seriously off the scale.

Annabella 5/6th's of a large one left, I only had a little slice, bought it today, date of the 30th on it, so I'm onto a winner, providing it keeps ok. Seriously get to Mr T's the fresh Apple Pies. £1.12 for a whole pie! Also I take strops like that when it comes to food, even when not pregnant. It's so irritating, especially when hungry. I've had not a lot to eat today, had a large fry up at Wetherspoons about 12 o clock, so that put me off dinner, but I'm starving now?!? :( Grrr.
