I have a thought, I don't need to wee as much during the day, I'm honestly seriously thinking about changing my waking hours around, so I can try and get as much sleep as possible. From the hours of 5/6am I can sleep great and don't need the toilet, but from 10pm until 5/6 it is a nightmare.
My book suggests front loading all your fluids during the day, so you drink loads from when you get up, and stop drinking at 6pm. Then you should find that you don't have the same amunt of fluid to pee out at night!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I'm so thirsty thoughI'm not sure that would work, I could try though. Will try now and drink minimal until bed time and see how it goes tonight
thanks

Don't know if anyone can answer this, but how overdue do they let you get these days, particularly if they predict a decent sized baby (9 pounds or more at term). My other half has just been offered a night's (well paid!) work in Germany, 17 days after my due date. Well, he'd have to leave maybe 15-16 days after with the travelling time. Would you say it is safe to assume he won't miss the birth, even if he had to go a day or two after? (Worst case scenario). I only went 6 days late last time, so I'm assuming it'll all be well over, but who knows!
It varies from trust to trust, and depends on yours and baby's health. My hospital will let you go a full 14 days over before inducing, and even then there is no guarantee you will give birth that day. I would check with your own hospital just to be on the safe side.
Kira those scan pics are seriously cute
My baby is camera shy. I have been trying for days and days to get him/her moving on camcorder. S/he can be having a right good old fidget in there, but soon as I switch the camcorder on he/she stops. At first we thought s/he could hear the noises it makes when you turn it on or press buttons, so OH changed the settings and silenced it, but still as soon as I turn it on s/he stops0 -

As long as you have drunk enough during the day, to the right amount of fluids, you shouldnt be too thirsty.. You could take a bottle of water up to bed for the early hours, so by the time that needs to come out, its waking up time.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

From the hours of 5/6am I can sleep great and don't need the toilet, but from 10pm until 5/6 it is a nightmare. I went 4 times in an hour between 11-12 last night  Tried speaking to the doc about it, but she just laughed and said get used to it, it'l get worse. how can it possibly get worse?
I find that if I lie on my left hand side I need to wee lots, if I lie on my right I don't. Must be something to do with the position of baby and the bladder.0 -
I'm so used to drinking water/squash out of habit, it's quite difficult to limit myself
once I'm in a deep sleep I can go about 2 hours which suits me fine, but it's when I'm trying to get to sleep that's the issue.
Wonder Womble I have similar!! My baby is laying on my left hand side though so I'm assuming if I'm laying on there it's pushing him further into my bladder. I swear last night I could feel like "oh I need the toilet" "Oh I don't" It's like he was bouncing on and off my bladder again :mad:The frontier is never somewhere else. I am like you Gilly in that I am thirsty all the time, I take 2 glasses of squash to bed as my mouth is as dry as the desert during the night! I've tried not drinking but I get a headache and can't sleep because I am thirsty
I drink loads during the day too, my sister was the same when she was pg.
As soon as I turn onto my left I get the urge to go, and usually it is just a trickle when I get there, but I feel absolutely desperate for the loo. I have no choice but to turn over onto my left though as my right side starts to hurt if I lie on it too long. I know you try to lie on your left as much as possible, but maybe try alternating sides to reduce how much you need to go to the loo?0 -
Bras- Asda do nice ones in bigger sizes- unfortunately my local one stopped doing my size, which is 32J/K..... They're usually only £6. Not maternity, but more comfortable than any maternity ones I did get, and have more definition.
Leaky boobs- Haven't had this! Thankfully.
Jogging trousers- I got some from Mothercare for work, think they were £20.
Gilly- Wow! Bubs is big! Over the present- sounds a lot like my work, TBH.Thanks for being worried, I'm fine, BTW, was shopping with MIL.
C Sections- Was stopped twice today by random strangers asking what my view on it all was! I will have a C Section if it is necessary, but would like to give birth naturally. However, if they have no other choice....
Kira- lovely pics!
Shopped with MIL, couldn't resist a couple of Christmas outfits, and MIL bought a Santa Claus outfit for Hitch. Soon to be SIL sent up a playgym, which is gorgeous.
Had last MW app this morning (man, that's scary), baby is fully engaged and bump is 38cm. Was so sick feeling last night, but never threw up, despite feeling it. Seems to have been a bug, as DH feels the same tonight, whereas I'm fine.
I have to keep switching sides during the night as my legs keep going numb, but it's agony... And I need to pee every 20mins.....

I know it shouldn't but I'm smiling now that there are other frequent pee-ers (is that a word?!?) out there, I'm not alone!! I honestly don't know how people are managing it and going to work, I'm like a zombie, I honestly think I'd prefer a crying child to this. I don't feel I should be feeling like this so early either (you're both a good bit further on than me!) but lady just said it's because he's head down and I'm feeling pressure, yeah not in the right area, I don't think he can exit through my bladder, he's making a good go at it though.
I do try and switch sides now, between every toilet visit I switch from right to left and left to right.
And yes, Lirin, bubs is big! I think my scoffing mars bars obviously has something to do with it, maybeI'm hoping he slows down a little, but we'l see, I don't really know where he's putting it either because I don't feel that "big" bump wise. Next to no fluid though so could be that. Also if baby is fully engaged, means you could go anytime
On another note, we have another management inspection tomorrow, the guys were only here about 7 weeks ago, which apparently was a 6 monthly inspection, this letter is apparently yearly! The letting agents are about as much use a chocolate teapot, I feel like opening the door, telling them to eff off, and closing the door again. I'm not even rushing round cleaning like last time because they came in, stood for about 20 seconds, and left again, and I'm gonna have to be dressed and decent from 9 o clock for these a$$holes who may not even turn up before 5pm?!? Whoever said pregnant women are irritable, NO IDEA where they got it from.
And now off to heat my apple pie, that's now took the place of dinner. Mmmm healthy! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Just an update. Had a message from my sister to say mum is out of theatre and looking good, feeling as ok as can be expected after an 8 hour op. Such a relief. Feels bad not being there with her, but i think it was the right decision to stay home..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
