Gilly, RE: music players, our m/w at the antenatal class said at our hospital they provide a bog standard cd player in each delivery room, but that you could bring your own MP3 player if you wanted. The problem with that being that they do not allow any electrical devices to be plugged in, so everything you bring HAS to be battery operated- no chargers allowed. Kinda narrows down the options a bit. Worth checking to see if your hospital has the same rules (no phone/camera/mp3/speaker chargers/cables).Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Ooh Keza, I've been looking at these but haven't ordered them as I wasn't sure if they'd be long enough! What are they like length wise, I have something similar from matalan but I'm 5'8" and they're a bit too short to wear in public! Another inch or 2 and I'd get away with them!0 -
For the newies who were posting about the morning sickness a few pages back. Sorry you are suffering. I sympathise as i was throwing up 2-5 times a day from 4 weeks till about 20 weeks. I think everyone is a bit different with what works for them, so its a little trial and error. Main advise is go with what you fancy, and dont force yourself to have stuff you think you ought to eat. It might mean you have the same thing for dinner 4 days running, but so what! For me, i ended up eating mainly toast with butter/peanut butter or honey, jacket potatoes with cheese, cheese on toast, mango pieces, and breaded oven cooked cod with oven chips for the first 20 weeks! Drinks wise i drank litres of water for the first 10 weeks, before it suddenly made me throw up, so ended up drinking mainly diluted fresh apple juice instead..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Well that's a bit crap, you can't even charge your mobile phone? :eek: I'll need to check with that, it's upsetting me thinking about it.
Obviously my family live nowhere near me, so when the time comes I'd like to be able to text them and let them know what's happening once baby is born etc and my phone is lucky to last a day on charging it.
I think my Docking station takes batteries, probably those massive things that eat energy though :rotfl:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Just back from our last chance private scan. Till today, the other attempts, bean has kept her face turned away, and her arm over her face. I've spent the past 24 hours spending as much time leaning back, lying on my back etc to get her to face forwards, and ate a piece of carrot cake and a milkshake for lunch to get her moving before the appointment. Luckily she played ball, and we finally got some good pics of her face. So cute!! (i am admittedly biased!) Main problem is she was holding the cord in her hand over her mouth, and ends up looking like one of the english airmen from 'Allo 'Allo! See below!
This one is where she behaved and moved the cord away.. yes that is her foot up by her face! So far mouth and huge big toe are mummies, dimple chin is daddies!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

We have an in car charger, so we will probably take that, and DH can leave a phone on charge in the car, and retrieve it once bean arrives.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Aw cuuuuute. Yours is the first 4D picture I've not found creepy, she looks like a real little baby and not an alien. ( I hope you take this in the least offensive way possible, as it's not meant
)

Even more exciting you'l be meeting her soon
I have a thought, I don't need to wee as much during the day, I'm honestly seriously thinking about changing my waking hours around, so I can try and get as much sleep as possible. From the hours of 5/6am I can sleep great and don't need the toilet, but from 10pm until 5/6 it is a nightmare. I went 4 times in an hour between 11-12 last night :eek: Tried speaking to the doc about it, but she just laughed and said get used to it, it'l get worse. :eek: how can it possibly get worse?
P.s Hope Lirin is ok, not heard from her all day!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
