The difficulty is that we are all given advice subject to that health professional's knowledge and personal opinions. I think it is best to listen to what health professionals have to say, go away and do your own research, and then make your mind up. Don't take everything they say as gospel. My MW when I saw her 2 weeks ago hadn't even heard that NICE were considering making sections available to all women despite it being plastered all over the news.

That's true I guess, thank God for the internet! :j

It's just amazing that the NHS are so pro breast feeding but wouldn't relay that information to people.

Man I'm bored today, was planning a nap on the couch while watching tv, but sort of scared the 2 men from the letting agency will let themselves in and I'll end up with a fright :o

Ps, just back from the midwife, she's still on about my iron levels. Blood test was done a week ago, I only found the iron that I could actually tolerate on the 5th, so I think if it is going up, even slightly, it must be working. She wants another blood test in just over a week, and is talking about sending me to the hospital for iron. Strange when my doc thought my levels looked fine, I might have to get a second opinion.

Baby is head down but not engaged, which I am pleased about in a way, as it means at some point I might get some more space up top, but of course it means the weeing will only get worse. :D

I'm measuring ok, baby may be big, but the bump just isn't! :D

Yeah get a second opinion Aimless, my midwife at the hospital was trying to get me on Iron tablets at the start of this pregnancy and my GP then told me my iron levels were really high for a pregnant lady, so I would have been taking them and probably doing more damage than good.

I'm the same, big baby, average bump!

Why is taking off those little plasters after a blood test so sore, argh.

Ooh Keza, I've been looking at these but haven't ordered them as I wasn't sure if they'd be long enough! What are they like length wise, I have something similar from matalan but I'm 5'8" and they're a bit too short to wear in public! Another inch or 2 and I'd get away with them!

    hi Lisa,

im 5' 4" and these are long on me, i have to have them pulled right up. the waistband is quite handy as u can have it pulled right up over bump or folded down to halfway over bump so that mite give u a bit of leaway? HTH xx

Annoying thing is, she never gave me the numbers, so I can't even google. As Spatone is the only iron I seem to tolerate, I would assume an iron infusion would make me feel awful. It presumably is similar stuff to the iron tablets, just by iv?

My docs uses a bit of cotton wool and some sticky tape, comes off much easier. :)

Lol, just got sidetracked by a very pushy double glazing company, who I think were the ones who booked an appointment earlier in the year and then never showed. He denied it was them, though they had my name, number, and exactly what I'd asked for a quote for back then. He kept pushing for an appointment, and I said I was busy, as I was due to have a baby "any minute" (slight exaggeration!). :D Then he asked if I was free tomorrow or sat... ermm, did you hear what I just said? So eventually he asked when would be convenient, and I told him to try around this time next year. :D Which part of 'I'm about to give birth, the last thing I want is to be undertaking major building works' do they not understand?! :D
