Ps, just back from the midwife, she's still on about my iron levels. Blood test was done a week ago, I only found the iron that I could actually tolerate on the 5th, so I think if it is going up, even slightly, it must be working. She wants another blood test in just over a week, and is talking about sending me to the hospital for iron. Strange when my doc thought my levels looked fine, I might have to get a second opinion.

Baby is head down but not engaged, which I am pleased about in a way, as it means at some point I might get some more space up top, but of course it means the weeing will only get worse. :D

I'm measuring ok, baby may be big, but the bump just isn't! :D

    Hi Aimless,

Just thought I'd let you know I'm in the same position. My HG level is 10.6 which the midwife who gave me my anti d injection at hospital thought wasn't too bad and said just take what i can but I couldn't tolerate the iron pills so switched to spatone. My main midwife though says this isn't enough and she's telling me to go back to pills (quite !!!!!y about it she was  )

Spatone absorbs more iron than the pills so I'm sticking with it and getting my bloods re done so hoping to prove my midwife wrong and don't need the awful pills. I'm also eating more food with iron too which should help. I'd defo get another opinion if you're not sure because they can be wrong and think they know better when they don't.

Anyway hope everyones doing ok. :)

My little one is still kicking away and seems to love the X Factor :rotfl: He get's so excited when the music comes on lol

    TC,
    Stacey x

depends on how many bags you pack aimless. My "labour" bag has 1 pack of maternity pads, 6 nappies mini shampoos etc. i have another bag to leave in the car with more stuff if i need to stay over night and another bag at home incase i am in longer

I want my baby to come now. i want to cuddle her and i am fed up with her poking things out from the inside

So far I've gone for one huge bag with baby clothes, pjs, towels, pads, whole pack of nappies, snacks for the other half, minature toiletries, baby clothes etc. Plus a carrier bag with the snowsuit and an outfit for me in, which can stay in the carseat till hometime. I'm hoping not to have to stay too long, but we're about 15 miles or so from the hospital, so also don't want to have to send the other half home for anything I forget. :D

Thanks Stacey, I think mine was around that level too, and my doc thought that was fine. At least the midwife didn't suggest the pills again, I think she realised I wouldn't take them! But I think considering sending me back to the hospital is a bit excessive. If it does come to that, I'll tell her I want to see the proper doc again first. I'm getting quite a taste for the apple Spatone, it is pretty like drinking apple juice.

Mine's just wriggling along to Kerrang again, I can see me having to tape Johnny Doom to play to get them to sleep. :D

Ok, this has probably been covered many times before, but how much of everything do we take?! :D Whole pack of nappies/wipes/breast pads? One or two packs of maternity pads? Shampoo minatures? I've filled a bag already and I'm sure there's not everything in there :D

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I'll be apple pie-ing after dinner tonight too, still got the majority of a huge one in the fridge. Having some cereal now though, seems early for dinner, but I'm peckish.
