The baby name book I was loaned by a friend is American so full to the brim of incredibly weird names! I have spent hours trawling through baby-name websites but nothing is jumping out at me. Part of me is just hoping it turns out to be a blue bump so that we don't have the problem of being forced to pick a girl's name (but then the other, bigger, part of me reeeeeally wants a pink bump! :D)

Jenjade i swear if you pinch my girls name i will hunt you down lady lol

I needed a "old" name but with an unusual spelling to go with DD's name lol

I also liked: Sophie, Scarlett, Nimah, Neve, Mollie and Morgan

With my DD i knew straight away what i was calling her but i didnt want to tell ANYONE - we told parents - his mum BLABBED it - So I was gonna call her something else but he came back into the ward telling me he had rang to tell everyone XXX was born - so I changed the spelling lol (Hence the weird spelling of Amy) - Plus, my names weird!

The "Mimi" part of my user ID is my DD's nick name lol

Thanks Mozzy :o it's the only name we could agree on!!

That's lovely Mimi, (I always wondered if that was your real name too :o ) It's the french feminine spelling of the word friend too, which is really lovely I think.

omfg!! Totally non baby related.. Just had a call from evil bank, responding to a complaint i put in about a loan i used to have, and they have decided to refund me over £2k in interest payments! So i should be getting a juicy cheque, right before i go on mat leave. I am SO happy, as my company gives stat minimum mat pay, and i have been really stressing that my savings werent going to last. I'm still going to have to be careful, but man.. it really takes the pressure off! Right, this calls for celebratory chocolate (sod the heartburn).

Our boys name is sorted, we're still struggling with a girl's name though. We have a short-list but I've now decided I don't really like any of them :rotfl: Well, it's not that I don't *like* them, I just don't *love* any of them. And I don't really want to 'settle' for a name that I don't love. My personal top two are either Lily or Phoebe but OH doesn't *love* either of those (although he's coming around on Lily I think...)

I really like Hannah, lovecrafting, but our surname starts with H so all H names are out for us...

see we have that problem, our surname is a boys name already and begins in G so all G's are out

we also have 2 l's and an o so we need to stay away from them.

aparently poppy is no longer on the list, we will see i dont know i change my mind almost daily, i need to know what flavour the baby is i think.
