Annoying thing is, she never gave me the numbers, so I can't even google. As Spatone is the only iron I seem to tolerate, I would assume an iron infusion would make me feel awful. It presumably is similar stuff to the iron tablets, just by iv?

My docs uses a bit of cotton wool and some sticky tape, comes off much easier. :)

Lol, just got sidetracked by a very pushy double glazing company, who I think were the ones who booked an appointment earlier in the year and then never showed. He denied it was them, though they had my name, number, and exactly what I'd asked for a quote for back then. He kept pushing for an appointment, and I said I was busy, as I was due to have a baby "any minute" (slight exaggeration!). :D Then he asked if I was free tomorrow or sat... ermm, did you hear what I just said? So eventually he asked when would be convenient, and I told him to try around this time next year. :D Which part of 'I'm about to give birth, the last thing I want is to be undertaking major building works' do they not understand?! :D

I would ask for your numbers, they can't exactly refuse you. Isn't it written down somewhere in your notes? It will say a number and then Hgb somewhere?

Edit: Great minds Annabella :D I left a ? because her sig is yellow but I could be jumping the gun :p

its official I have finally started packing my hospital bag :jonly got toiletries, pjs and undies so far, but its more than i had before.

I have also made a start on my hospital and baby bag :) Just in the process of washing baby clothes at the moment, cot sheets and muslin clothes are done. I found a load of bibs that were my sons-they'll come in handy.

Just looked on the birth list, there seems to be an extraordinary number of boys!!

I can still see that I am lingering near the bottom of the list :(

Decorator has been at my house for what feels like months
(doesn't help that he is a family friend so he's fitting us in, came for fortnight went away for 3 months, came back for a week then left for 3 weeks) he has promised that he will be finished by Saturday. I can finally start sorting out the baby's room :)

Fingers crossed, lovely guy just likes to come to the house by 8am, last thing I want on the weekend!!

Just wondering how people are deciding when to leave work for maternity leave, I'm due the 15th March which is mid week. I don't want to be sitting around the house waiting for baby to arrive so I want to work right up until the last minute as I only get 13 weeks full paid then on to Statutory Maternity pay- which I cannot afford to live on.
    Got married 13/11/10 :)
    DD1 born 25/03/12 :D
    DD2 born 28/11/13 :D

She usually sticks the hard copy in my notes, it just hadn't shown up yet. She doesn't say much specific (ie, "blood pressure is fine" etc), so I generally head outside and check the numbers that are written down. :D

Today, I will start my hospital bag! I've got all the little baby stuff washed, but I think quite a few are nearly too small already if the scan estimate was accurate. So next week I need to get the 0-3s in the wash, I was thinking I had a few weeks before they'd fit. :D Though having had an 8 pound 10 in the past, his newborn stuff fitted for just long enough to get home. :D
  • Good luck for tomorrow Eyeliner!

Hope all is going well for Neas too :)

Lola888, I'm working up to my due date as I only get SMP. That's a Friday, so I'm planning to be in work for the Mon-Thurs that week... however I do have a very understanding boss, so I can work form home if necessary (apart from when I'm supposed to be giving a lecture).

Lola888 - I'm finishing work three weeks before my due date but those three weeks are annual leave I'm using up. My maternity leave will officially start on my due date, unless Pip decides s/he's coming early. Do you have any annual leave you can use up to at least top up your maternity leave to finish the Friday before your due date, if you don't want to finish any earlier?

Ok, this has probably been covered many times before, but how much of everything do we take?! :D Whole pack of nappies/wipes/breast pads? One or two packs of maternity pads? Shampoo minatures? I've filled a bag already and I'm sure there's not everything in there :D

depends on how many bags you pack aimless. My "labour" bag has 1 pack of maternity pads, 6 nappies mini shampoos etc. i have another bag to leave in the car with more stuff if i need to stay over night and another bag at home incase i am in longer

I want my baby to come now. i want to cuddle her and i am fed up with her poking things out from the inside
:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart :( Proven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j
