Wonder if you might find out which way baby is at your appt with gp, I keep thinking I hope my stays where it is and does not move..

    Ro xx

When I had my 28 week appointment the other week, the midwife said she reckoned it was head down, so hopefully it'll have stayed that way... I can't figure out what's what when I poke and prod it, :rotfl:

OH was so cute last night, he came and knelt on the floor next to me on the sofa, and was rubbing my bump for ages. Pip was going mental inside, wriggling around all over the place... It was so sweet, he was talking to it loads, every time it felt like things were settling down, the wriggling and kicking would start up again...

Well good news is, my wonderful OH has prised open the drain and managed to unblock all the bog roll, and other lovely things that were blocking, turns out we share a drain with our nice neighbours!! and could have been them causing this, so they were probably having the same problems as us? but doing nothing about it, vile.

Happy now and trying to goad OH into going for a Mcdonalds and to see Breaking Dawn :)

Glad you got the loo sorted Gilly!

I'm on wind-down mode now... last full day at work is Weds :) I'm so over it all... I was wondering how much contact to have with my boss/team whilst I'm out? I'm planning on taking the full year and don't really want to be pestered with stuff, so not sure whether to give out my personal email/mobile details? I'm "friends" with my boss and a couple of others on Facebook so kind of figure they can get me via that if they need to...

Do any of you not have a tumble dryer? I want to wash baby clothes this week in prep for Squirrel's arrival, but we don't have a tumble dryer and I'd feel a bit bad if our lovely sparkly newborn has to be dressed in clothes which are a bit rough/crispy from drying on the radiators... I've got Comfort Pure fabric conditioner and I could go and stick everything in my mum's dryer, but seems like a bit of a faff and obviously can't do that forever - and we're not planning on buying a tumble dryer. We don't have an iron either actually, but perhaps that would soften stuff up??
  • I also had the message from Tesco about the Highchair...booo!

But have just seen this - might be useful http://www.buyapowa.com/deal/98

I dont have a tumble dryer either, I just washed the baby clothes and tried them outside or on the airer, they seem ok....Baby is going to have to get used to clothes that way anyway so why not start straight away ;)

been a bit away from this site, but thought of dropping by to say hello.
    i am now 30w +1
    such a milestone.
it's all getting a bit scary as it's only 10 weeks to go... or could be as little as 8.

getting work done in the flat which means lots of disruption but might be all done by christmas which would be lovely...

hope everyone and their bumps are doing great!

Don't have a tumble dryer, the clothes airer will do.... As a side point, we've bets placed on the washing machine as it's 15 years old, and every time it breaks down we've managed to repair/solder/rewire it..... Rather impressed by it's tenacity!

I also don't have a tumble drier... I shall use the airer or if I decide to treat myself get a heated airer in Lakeland!

... How sweet. My hubby just scares mousey, if I want him to stop wriggling just need him to put his hands on the bump and he goes as still as a statue :rotfl::rotfl: occasionally hubby makes animal noises into the bump is it any wonder !!!! :rotfl: I dont know what I feel either when I poke!

My baby doesn't like OH's hands on my stomach either, he'l instantly stop moving if he does :( I can feel his bum at the moment, so I know he's still head down, but I think that's more because of the scans and extra appointments I've had I know what's what, if I hadn't I'd probably not have a clue :rotfl:
