apart from her telling me I smell like I have a UTI today, she's a nurse but !!!!!!? Do I smell of pee? :(

Sorry Gilly, but that is the funniest thing I've read :rotfl::rotfl: What a bizarre thing for her to say! I know my urine is definitely stronger and has a weird smell to it since getting pg, but according to MW that is normal and all my urine tests have been fine.

and unless she's sniffing your knickers..... which would be a little freakily 'close' for a MIL..... :)

That has to be the quote of the day :rotfl:

Well I had a rubbish sleep, woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, wasn't in pain, didn't need the loo, just couldn't sleep :(

I'm just waiting for OH to finish making my cooked brekkie, little does he realise that I haven't done the dishes for last night and he will have to wash them if he wants to eat off a plate :D He HATES doing the dishes and will happily leave them for me every time. Bless him, he will offer to do anything for me except the dishes ..... I bet he gets the huge pizza plates out to put our brekkie on, either that or it will be in a bowl :rotfl:

We are going looking at Christmas decs and lights at the local garden centre this morning, and for hot chocolate in the cafe which will be bizarre as it is still mild enough to get away with wearing my flip flops - my feet and ankles have no definition now, they are just like round puddings! Then we are going to scope out a hotel near to the hospital for the in laws to stay at when baby arrives.

    P.S. 37 weeks today :j

37+3 today. DH's bet is that I'll go at 38+4. Not going to happen. My bet is 39+1 (That would have been over on the original dates we'd been given).
It isn't going to happen because, a, baby isn't ready yet, b, I'm not ready yet, and c, my DH is amazing, but for all his wonderful points, he is a terrible winner and I am not lying in the delivery ward with him dancing around singing 'I'm the win!'
I am now thinking about the labour every day....

    Oh! Congrats Quillion!

Me too ... well I'm thinking of the section every day, I even dream about it! I've got 2 and half weeks yet so it seems ages away, but I bet it flies by  As much as I want my body back, I'm ever so slightly terrified!

    36 weeks today,

Labour hasn't really entered my mind at all. Although the consultant kept talking about it! Worrying about it won't help it is going to happen and what will be will be!

Thanks Gilly it is nice to hear that someone elses baby has moved and that you dont feel it as much either. I hate most my belly being soft!

I keep checking the date on my phone. :o

Jen, my bump goes hard/soft depending on where Hitch is. The bottom is all soft, not exactly appealing with the stretch marks... On Ebay now ordering some oils, hopefully will help.

LOL. I have the Baby Bump app on my phone, which has taken me day by day through the pregnancy. In the past week, i've been playing with it to tweak my settings and see what other EDD's i might get - the EDD of the 30th i have, is an adjusted one as the LP of my cycle was really short, so the doctor moved my LMP back in time a bit to match my OV date to a "normal" LMP. If i use the "normal" cycle date i end up on 26th Dec!!!
However, i've measured exactly on date at my scans, and i know the OV and conception dates to within 24hours, so i'm pretty sure we are in an accurate ballpark. Mum thinks i am going to go early for some reason. My older sister arrived about 4 days late, and i was induced 4 weeks early (docs got my date wrong), so no idea when i would have come in reality.

I have my 34w (nearly 35w) m/w appointment on Tues. Am looking forward to hearing her thoughts on position and size..

Oooh, I do have a question tho', and i know its probably peculiar to me, choosing an out of area hospital and having my GP at home so they arent linked. Basically, when ihad my last consultant visit, he said no more appointments here with the consultant clinic, and i said, what about the remaining antental m/w appointments listed in the my notes, do i need to book any here? He said no, all community m/w at your GP.
Thats fine, but what if nothing is happening, and i am approaching or at/over EDD. Will my local m/w suggest an induction, and call my hospital to discuss/arrange (in the other area), or tell me to call them? Or will i be sent for an appointmentover at the hospital to discuss?

Morning all. Ouch I hurt!! My hips and back have been a bit achey for the last few weeks but since Friday its been much worse. last night in bed my lower back was killing me and I couldn't get comfy at all, I think its probably more my pelvis than my back as it hurts when I move my hips at all. i ended up getting up and microwaving one of those wheat bag things that to hold against it. Luckily that did help a bit and I got to sleep about 2am but its still quite achey this morning.

I won a really cute humphrey's corner dressing gown for baby ofr 99p on ebay last night. Probably not really something you need but its sooooo cute and for 99p I couldn't resist!!
