  • Haven't heard anything against it. If it isn't, then it's too late for me! Know that kebabs are out (was sorely tempted when the new Indian opened in the next village and it had the biggest Munchie Box I've ever seen), and soft ice cream (McFlurrys, Mr Whippy etc.) Oh, and pate is out (I have some chilling in my auntie's fridge ready for when I get out of hospital, though. Had a huge craving and she promised to get me some, although whether it'll still be there when I get out...)

Mmmm all this talk of greggs *dribbles*. sorry if it's a silly q but is it safe to eat stuff like sausage rolls etc from the bakers?

I think its a common sense thing- if it is a good reputable bakers, where hot things are kept piping hot, and cool things are kept cool, you should be fine. Its where things are kept hanging around luke warm that you should worry.

Kebab is out?!? I've had 3 or 4 since I found out I was pregnant :o oopsie.

I'd say Greggs is fine Lucy, everything is cooked or made fresh that day, and more often than not they sell stuff before it becomes cold.

I dont usually have meat/pie stuff from Greggs, but i have heard that they turn off their heat lamps later in the day. I should think that if you buy when the heat lamps are on, they should be fine. If they are off and the stuff has gone a bit cool, then either ask them to zap in the micro, or take them home and do them there yourself!

Gilly, Kebabs- it depends on the type, the traditional cubed meat kebabs are probably fine, esp if you avoid chicken. The Doners are probably not such a good idea, as its not solid fresh meat, but older stuff stuck together and added to- environmental health tend to find it is the thing that has highest levels of bad bacteria..

Think it's something to do with the way it's cooked.

Hugs janninew- Try to keep calm as it is the best thing you can do for your baby. I would post on the parenting thread or start a post if you need advice or support there are a lot of mums on here that had babies early and could offer you reassurance and advice.

I feel a bit tearful and upset after the consultants appointment today

I'm wondering if any other ladies have delivered at 30 weeks and how long their babies were in the hospital for, I'm going to assume at least a month, but probably even longer.
My friend's baby was born at 26+6 earlier this year and I think came home about a month before her due date.

(((Hugs))) jenjade! I forget, I'm sorry, but have you had scans showing that the baby is measuring big as well or is it just the bump measurement? It could just be lots of fluid, or the way the baby is lying?

Sorry, I'm not very helpful with the GTT advice as I haven't had one but it does seem fairly pointless if they wouldn't actually do anything regardless of the results...
