I've sorted all mine into sizes, then into colours for washing, did all the newborn stuff, then sorted that by ironing temp and have it all ironed and neatly put away. Think I'm going a little stir crazy, I hate to iron! :D Not started 0-3 or 3-6 tho! :D

P.s. Persil non bio and Comfort here :D

    Morning Ladies.

Wonder Womble It's so weird, I didn't know it was his bum, but then the doctor on Tuesday, was saying "Oh I can feel a bum here, do you want to feel?" now I can't stop poking and prodding at it, poor soul :( but he's poking and prodding at me, so I think it's only fair :D

Lynn Thanks for the reassurance on baby grows, even though we know the sex, everything we have in baby grow form is neutral as I bought them all quite early on, so good to know 9 is a good starting point.

Lirin Congrats on the last day, you must feel like you've completed a marathon :D coffee soon, definitely :)

On another note, I have so much ironing to do ( I feel like this is my war cry ) I really can't be bothered, I want to sit on my bum, drink tea and eat biscuits all day. We decided to get our pram delivery changed until after Christmas, it's going to the in-laws house and I feel a bit crap making them take it before Christmas, with all that entails, so not coming to January now, which is scary, incase he does decide to come early and we have no car seat, pram etc

Got my eye on a changing mat from M&P, had a look yesterday, so think I will get that with my £10 voucher :o I've realised we have so much more stuff to get and time is running out, once bad weather sets in I will not want to leave the house, and going out in January will not be happening, I imagine I'll be lying somewhere by that point with several zoo keepers hosing me down, trying to return the beached whale to the sea!!

I'm going to ask people to buy us some tubs of SMA gold for Christmas as I can't breastfeed because of an operation and also I know how expensive they can be so at least we can stock up on milk for baby as me and dp don't need anything for ourselves.

I'd be tempted to ask for vouchers for boots or something instead of the actual tins of milk. You never know if it'll agree with your baby till (s)he's here and it'd be a shame to end up with a load of tins that you can't use.

Well got a letter in the post this morning to let me know they've received my form for Maternity Allowance, they've sent me another form with questions on it to send back, but some of them aren't applicable to me, so I'm a bit confused how to fill it out :(

Yup Gilly, coffee soon! Must do. Before I reach the stage where I can't leave the house without a hoist! :)
  • MW appt today with my friend/midwife there too. All fine, apparently baby was head down but slightly spreadeagled as limbs all over the place! Friend working on labour ward at the moment and was saying they've had to close a few times this week as full, and send people elsewhere. Really hope that won't happen, hospital is 5 mins away but all the other options are nearer an hour. If it comes to it and I have to, I might go for a home birth with my friend doing it, everything has been OK and normal so far although obv will depend if that carries on.

Still no moses basket, might order the mattress from M&P anyway with my voucher as it'll run out soon and worse case scenario I can always return it.

Gilly - Are you sending the pushchair to in-laws due to superstition. I've had someone already tell me it's bad luck to have it in the house before baby arrives. I don't care :rotfl: I'm getting on 16th Dec so I can make sure all the parts are there and I have no stress later on. I can always put it in the garage - is that still technically in the house? ;)

Well the reasons are 2 fold, OH's mum is a good bit religious, if she had her way baby wouldn't be out of the house until he was christened, and it was to be done within 6 weeks of birth (er I don't thinkso, I'm not standing up in front of all those people less than 6 weeks after giving birth) so she's also very superstitious, and they have a massive house, compared to our tiny pokey flat, so practicality too. I'm sort of worried as we're running out of space at the moment, and we have none of the large objects in yet.

I phoned to ask for a form because I'm self employed, the woman on the other end asked me hundreds of nosy questions about myself and my partner, and when the form came, none of that info was on it or needed. I was fuming. They wanted to know his job, how many hours he works etc, where he lives, which is totally irrelevant to my claim. Also kept asking me things like 'are you looking for work?' or 'what kind of work are you looking for?' and I kept saying, I've got a job already!
