Yep, and they're about cheapest anyway, the other half is paying, but I'm the one registered with the Parenting club so we'll use my advantage card. ;) I shall order it now! :D

Just a quick question ladies, how many packs of size 1 nappies and baby wipes have you all bought for baby? I have 4 packs of size 1 (44 nappies in each) and 3 packs of baby wipes.
I am going to join asda baby club so I can get the voucher for the free huggies pack. Then I was thinking that would be enough. If anyone can help id be very grateful. Thanks ladies.

Hi I have about 7 packs of huggies newborn,3 packs of the asda ones when they were on offer,a bumper box of johnsons wipes(which include 9 packs of wipes) and about 6 packs of huggies wipes. No doubt there will be more offers before baby is due so wil probably get mode then x

Aimless - I hope you've got your pushchair delivery all sorted out. What a pain in the a%%! I think it's 4anna (something) who might work for boots :rotfl:

Lucy - I really wanted a Vegas trip around 20w pregnant but OH wasn't keen. I think I could have just about coped as my pelvis pains only kicked in about 23/24 weeks, but I think I'd have been knackered a lot from all the walking. I would book last minute if you're going to go so you can gauge exactly how you feel, as my aches and pains appeared overnight really..... :)

Tinytink - HUGE congrats. Mst say I panicked a little that our beanie arrives 4 weeks early. Must get everything finished, you just never know. Hope that you're receovering well :)

Midwife appointment was just as you guys said. She re-took bloods - said that they check iron levels as they expect these to drop, glucose and blood type again. She also checked urine sample, blood pressure, measured the bump, listened with the doppler and just checked how everything was going. Beanie even whacked the doppler with a big kick :).

I just love sitting at home watching my tummy move. As a plus size lady pre pregnancy, I wasn't sure I'd see this kind of movement, but it's so fascinating..... :rotfl:

Thanks. I might get a few more packs of baby wipes actually aswell as nappies. I just want enough for the first few days/week as like you said there will probably be offers once baby is here. I may leave it till I see some on offer again and grab some as the asda nappies offer was far too good to pass on!!

Hello sorry for not having time to read posts. What size hospital bag do you ladies plan on taking with you. I know I'm in for at least 4 days so need a reasonable amount of baby grows etc but I had hoped to take a cabin size suitcase (so rather small) but No way will it all fit. I've gone through the MSE list and I haven't added anything. I haven't even included things for the extra days stay. I've bought mini shampoo etc so no idea where I've gone wrong but my next size up suitcase seems massive.

    Any ideas please?

I'm taking a big holdall/massive handbag type bag as my labour bag, all things I'll need in 1st 24hrs.

AND I'm taking a small/medium wheelie suitcase, (same suitcase I took for a 4day holiday to Rome, so decent sized!)
Thats got all the other vests/sleepsuits/pramsuit, extra PJ's & clothes for me, mags, washbag etc.

Last time I was in for 5-6days, at first for me (c-section) then DS has jaundice so had to stay for him. Was not prepared for long stay, OH rubbish at finding stuff from home & I was BORED! This time I'd rather have too much than too little.

Good luck with packing, I'm 60% through & 6wks to go!

Wipes will not go out of date but maybe hold off as you need to be sure that they will be ok on baby's bum. I have 5 packs of huggies wipes, 2 tesco fragence free wipes, 3 packs of size 1 huggies and 1 pack of size 2 which does 7lbs upwards. They say that you can use 8-10 nappies a day so you may wish to buy a few packs of size 2 so that you have not too many size 1 in case you have a big baby. I cannot remember how many nappies you go though at the beginning but if you go with the 10 a day, then you only have a supply for 4 days, but your partner could go out and buy more if needed to a 24hr supermarket if needed. Not sure if this helps.

Going to try to wrap up more xmas presents and write some more xmas cards today. Due date fast approaching now. Got another midwife appointment on tuesday as bp slightly up so mum is getting at me to relax more.

    Morning all :D

    Yep, I'm the Boots lady...

Sounds like you've got yourself sorted though Aimless, personally I wouldn't wait to order, the triple points is a good deal, especially if you get cashback on top like Kira suggested. We really wanted the black Pebble, but it's been out of stock for soooo long! We ended up ordering the cream one as we get two days a year when they give us double staff discount, but it was back at the beginning of October, so we had to make a decision... Ultimately I preferred the Pebble over the Cabriofix (although there's not really much between them) so we went with the cream Pebble over the black Cabriofix...

Thank you I forgot baby's skin can sometimes react to different wipes!!

I feel like I'm new to this baby lark as my 2 boys are 8 and 5 so it has been a while for me!! Arghhh worried I'm not up to the job now!! Scared!!
I'm going to ask people to buy us some tubs of SMA gold for Christmas as I can't breastfeed because of an operation and also I know how expensive they can be so at least we can stock up on milk for baby as me and dp don't need anything for ourselves.

Really need to clean the car out today, might bring the mats in and Hoover them in the lounge!!
    Xx

Thanks, I've just finished ordering, had to faff about rejoining the Parenting Club online even though I'm already in it through the Advantage Card machine, but I got there in the end, cheapest I've seen the Pebble, with over £22 of points to come too! :) Also (shhhh, don't tell Boots) there's a 20% off car seat code for the club that they haven't sent me yet, but I found online. If that goes through too, it was a huge bargain! :)

    morning,

Well 6 days to go and still no sign of anything moving!!! Although baby had me up 4 times in the night for a wee, still no show, I actually wonder if I'm going to have one!!!!

Feeling like nesting today, did loads yesterday too, I'm making pumpkin soup for the freezer, and some sort of date slice thing that OH's nan used to make, no pressure, along with tidying up every room in the house and bleaching toilets etc lol!

Hung all the tiny baby clothes up last night and sorted all the sleep suits and hats and mittens etc, was very theraputic (sp) really made me want baby to be here so I could give him a little cuddle!

Good luck on your last day at work jenjade, and good luck lirin I think its your last day too hun isnt it?

I'm obsessively washing everything in fairy not sure why, but really feel the need.

We managed to get baby some christmas presents, I know, I know, but they were on offer at argos and we reserved them, when we got there all the prices had gone up by at least 25%, but they had to honour them, and we got a £10 voucher for spending £100!!!! (wasnt all on toys) so bought another little toy, am really pleased! I know baby will only be tiny at Christmas but as his birthday is so close to christmas, by the time he is 6 months old he'll want something to play with. They are all in huge boxes in the hallway, really need to wrap them up! I love Christmas, still don't know what we're doing Christmas day!

hmmm searching through my covent garden soup books trying to find a decent recipe for pumpkin soup, can't say I've ever cooked a pumpkin!
