I wouldn't worry too much Sammy, babies can turn right until the last minute, although obviously they have less room. Have you tried the torch trick? Try shining a torch at the bottom of your bump, if he/she is awake sometimes the light will draw them down.

Wil give that a go thanks.

Saw the MW at aquanatal this morning and asked her. When i said it was transverse at this stage she said "oh dear". Apparently at my 34week check next week if its still transverse i will get transferred to consultant led care and if its still transverse at 36 weeks they will give me a date for a section at around 39 weeks.

She was quick to stress that its still possible for it to turn right up to the last minute but as we know its been transverse since 20 weeks it may be a tad too comfy and unwilling to budge.

Ive been told to walk up the stairs sideways (making sure to hold tight to the banister!) and not to sit slouched on the sofa but upright on my birthing ball from now on. And to put a bag of frozen peas or similar on my belly above the babys head and hopefully it will move head down in an effort to get away from the cold.

Oh god in a right panic now. Can anyone reassure me? Just heard that Horlicks drink contains vitamin a and I've been drinking lots of the stuff for a couple of months now:(

Well spotted! I was too late as well, never mind, I do have a coat already so I shouldn't really think about buying another one :D

The only thing I really need now is a jumper or cardie that isn't black - seem to have ended up with 3 black jumpers for some reason! All different styles at least, but I need a bit of colour variation! The nice coloured jumpers now seem to be selling for more than I'd like to pay on ebay. I think it's the cold weather starting...

I saw a beautiful jumper on DP's website today, but it's £32, they have 20% off today though :) tempted with it!

I wouldnt worry too much. According to my tin (light version) a mug full contains 33% of your RDA of Vitamin A.

Vitamin A is in loads of common everyday foods. The problem comes when you take a suppliment of 100% Vitamin A along with your regular intake via foods and then dont get enough Vitamin D to counter the excessive vitamin A.

Just maybe limit yourself to 1 a day :)

hi lucy, i was in a panic about Ovaltine (similar to Horlicks) after i read it has vit A in it. but theres reassurance on their website and they actually recommend it for mums to be due to the folic acid and iron in it.

It says something about the vit a in everyday foods being ok but the vit a in things like liver is off the scale. maybe check out Ovaltines website, i drink a mug of it every night now to help me sleep and pips doing just fine :) HTH xx
