    I love it Gilly! :D

I could spend the whole day just sat watching my tummy! Pip was going crazy last night, looked like they were doing acrobatics in there...

It really is amazing :o Meant to say btw I ended up getting £30 worth of points with the Medela Swing, because the parenting club points kicked in aswell as the £24 for the Christmas evening! May be worth looking out for :p

    2 x button-down nightie or PJs
1 x light weight dressing gown
    5 x nursing bras
    1 x water sprayer

Blimey - so much stuff we've got and so much left to get for such a little tiny person!!

I don't know what kind of PJs to get... just some cheapies from Primark? I usually sleep naked, so not sure what would be best for breastfeeding a winter baby! Not sure I'm really a nightie fan (get all twisted in the night!

How many gro-bags / sleeping bag things do we need? Do we need cot bedding too? I noticed quilts are a no-no until 12 months. I like the idea of cot-bumpers, but not so sure after the news this week, plus some are v expensive... But the cot looks really bland - white wood, white matress/sheet and that's it so far.

Think I ought to get some more vests? My bestie told me mothercare comes up quite big so was thinking of getting some more plain (yawn) basics from Tesco/Asda/H&M?

Everything is so plain, our poor baby has no toys or fun looking stuff........

Sorry for the silly-long post, but keep getting myself in a right pickle over this stuff! And I promise to read/write back properly soon - work has gone mental so short on time down this way at the mo!

Hope you're all good though, BM :) x

OOOOOH!! Just saw my stomach move for the first time tonight through kicks, I cannot stop watching it now :o Wish OH was here to see it :( It's so random and funny and I feel like I should be grossed out, but I'm not.

it's well cool isn't it Gilly! I saw mine move first at 27 weeks - the movements changed from kicks to proper rolling about around then too.. I love watching it move, I'd happily do that all day :p

Aw I love it already, I've a feeling in about 8 weeks time I won't be loving it anymore though :p he's definitely growing, he wouldn't fit on the screen as a whole body at the scan today :(

About to start watching series 3 of the wire, SERIOUS crush on Mcnulty. xx

Blue Monkey, if you normally sleep naked why not just get a nursing/sleep bra and wear that? I sleep in one now, they're really comfortable. And like a normal nursing bra, the front unclips for easy access so when you have to get up in the night you can just throw a dressing gown on, unhook your bra and away you go :D But then at least you'd have something to put a breast pad in overnight if you wanted as well...

  • Well I have my hospital appointment for a stretch and sweep tomorrow to see if it will start labour off naturally. I'm not feeling nervous yet but it might be a different story by the time I get to the hospital.

I've got my mind set on the fact that it probably won't work what with my due date not being for a couple of weeks yet; but then I think what if it does? I could be a mum over the weekend! Now, that is scary. Anyway, wish me luck!

Good Luck. I think you have the right attitude, at least that way you won't be disappointed, but could be pleasantly surprised :) xx

Thanks Gillyx, I'll also be getting a date for induction so even if the sweep doesn't work I'll find out when I'll be having the baby anyway.
Hopefully it will be early next week!

hey everyone. i just spotted this on asos and i thought i'd let you ladies know - would be great value for someone size 12!

  • BM - have you got moses basket sheets ? THey are smaller than the cot bed ones. DOnt worry about bumpers or bedding for the cot yet - they are in the moses basket for long enough that you can choose something once baby is here. Also with the grow bags they have to be a certain weight before they can be in them too so even if you buy 1-2 they wont be in it straight away. HTH but im also in the same boat as not knowing what baby will sleep in at first etc.....

My pram is the UPPPABABY VISTA - in Red and I love it.

Feeling a bit annoyed....went to the baby show at the weekend and got measured for a new bra at the M&S place there. Im normally a 34 B and the lady measured me as a 34 D. SO I bought a nursing bra from there. Wore it for a bit on Sunday and it felt a bit uncomfortable so put it down to the fact its a nursing bra and dont actually need to wear it yet - went to local M&S to get the same size in a normal t-shirt bra. Wore one of the T-shirt bras today and was in agony! I now have what feels like bruises on my ribs, got the measuring tape out myself and im measuring at a 36 or maybe even a 38 D. How could they measure me so wrong? And now I have bought £60 worth of bras and matching underwear that does not fit. I did try them on in the fitting room but tbh could not tell they were so tight as it was so so warm.
